yesterday i showed my mother one of my backups for colleges. she said that she liked it better than the one i REALLY want to go to. she told me that it was her decision because she was paying for it so i was going to the backup school. i think it is my decision which college i go to seeing as that decision affects MY life not hers. it is MY education and MY future. she has nothing to do with it. i told her that and she ranted that she is the elder and i am the minor and she knows more than i do so she wins. i said that is not true. we got in this huge arguement and then she tried to tell me that i wasnt going to college that she wouldnt let me. WTF?!?! which college i go to is MY decision right??

Years ago, my mother and I had a bad argument about what I would major in in college. She wanted a doctor. I wanted to study music. She got so ticked off at me, telling me I was wasting my time studying music, that I said the hell with it and didn't go to college at all. Now, my mother, who is now 73, says the argument never happened and that I made it up and I must have been on drugs at the time. She's calling me a liar. And, on top of it all, my younger sister, who wasn't even there, is calling me a liar, too and screamed at me for accusing my mother of something that "never happened". How do I handle this? What would you do?

I posted a question 3 mos. ago related to my senior Moms new boyfriend that we were less than pleased about. I took a lot of crap about interfering with "her happiness". I had suspicions about this man and did a background check and now I just found out that he was busted in California for possession of Gamma-Butyrolactone. I am waiting for the file on this case to find out the details.

Is Gamma-Butyrolactone a date rape drug???

ok..this is REALLY akward for me but i need help. My mom works at night and whenever she goes to work my stepdad comes into my room, lies down next to me and starts touching me. He sometimes inserts his "reproductive system" in me when he thinks i'm sleeping. I always push away though. He does it EVERY time though. He has done this since I was 9. I don't know how to tell my mom? What if i tell her and my stepdad accuses me of doing it WITH him? And if his "reproductive system" doesnt go in me all the way..does it mean that i lost my virginity? and I didnt get my period yet and i'm 14..does this have anything to do with it?

Ugh..I know this sounds sad..but i REALLY need help.

My family hates me so much & they just don't realize how hurtful it would be if I were to have lost my life, like by a heart-attack or another stroke or something. & when my other sister died, they laughed & talked about her like garbage since she couldn't come back to life & defend herself.

Many people say that life is short & you never know when it's your turn.

I have been extremely short tempered. I am to a point where I think I need counseling.. I know I need it. I dont want my children to be affected by my temper, but lately I have noticed that I am yelling more and more. I really would like therapy but I cannot afford it, we live paycheck by paycheck and dont have any funds for counseling. If anyone could point me in the right direction or has any information on where I could get free counseling I would really appreciate it.
Thank you before hand, I really dont no where to turn.

Ive been with my husband for 4 years, married 2 lived together 1 prior. I have 3 kids from a previous marriage. He has 2 from his previous, although he doesnt have custody of his. He is a truck driver who is only home every other weekend. His x wife is a horrible spiteful manipulative woman. I try very hard to go above and beyond for my husband and my step children, and gone through alot from his x wife in the process, her walking into my house w/ out invite, her lying to my husband to cause us to fight, her trashing me and my husband to the kids, her always being late and not having any respect for our household as if we are to cater to her, she uses the kids as pawns, and has even gone as far as to try and humiliate me and physically harm, and when her son was sick she told me to give him a tylenol then she picked him up took him to the docs and had a tox screen ran on him. implying i had od'ed him. I have watched the kids in the past to help her while she worked, and weeks at a time

Help. Before marriage husband chose to hang out and not care for our family, so I filed for child support. After about 2 months he got his act together and started taking care of our daughter. So we went to court and I closed the case and had all the past and present arrears that was owed to me to be wiped clean. This motion was granted that day in court. Balance $0.00. Later he got a letter that said Balance $2,000 and I called and was told it was for her healthcare. Then it turned to $3,000 5 1/2 years later now its $4,000?! He never called to find out why!! Years later we got married, $230 came out my taxes towards it and now the sheriff is after him! The people they spoke to were told that he would have to pay $4,000 for bail! I checked online to see if money from irs was applied, and it wasnt. I will call tomorrow. He had one years ago and paid $250 he was ok.But if he or I go to child support will he be given the option to pay only a portion? We're broke! Any help would be great.

I have a 12 year old cousin, her 11 year old brother, and his 6 year old brother. They ALL DRIVE ME CRAZY! The 12 year old disrespects my parents and me even though they stay at our house every weekday after school because their parents are working in the afternoon. They come to our house and destroy it! One time they broke three pieces of my mom's china! She turned as red as a tomato! The 6 year old once dropped my cell phone in the toilet on purpose and when i confronted him he kicked me in my shin and ran away! The 12 year and 11 year old cuss so much that my 2 year old sister and brother mimic what they say! The worst thing is that when me and my parents tell their parents they do all this stuff, their parents deny it and say that we're LYING on them!
I desperately need help before me and my parents BLOW!

My ex and I both met at college. We only dated eight months but we were really close. I loved him so much and im sure he felt the same. About a two months after we started dating we found out that his mom was pregnant. That was a good thing. But then in Feb we found out the baby had a serious heart condition and the doctors only gave the baby a 50/50 survival chance(we started dating in October and broke up in June). At this point my boyfriend wanted more "space." I was tottally willing to give him that but it made me feel like he didnt want me there through a crisis and that maybe it was in a weird way, an exscuse to ignore me a little. But I was still there for him. All through March we hardly would hangout and he would hardly talk to me. I wanted to be there for him. I hardly ever pressured him to go out though because I knew his family life was crazy right then. But he would make plans all the time with me and then cancel last minitue.

After the babay was born things got a little better but then we started fighting all the time. We eventually did break up and I took it so hard. We didnt talk for about 3 weeks but then we slowly started talking again. He always says how he loves me and wants to be with me but "he cant right now." I really love him and want to be with him but I feel like for the last five months I havent had a real realtionship with him. I dont know what to do. I dont kno if I should wait and try to be there for him when he can or if I should try to move on. Its awful because im getting so emotionaly torn apart but I know everythings crazy with him right now.

btw, the baby is about 3 months old and still alive. Not at home, still in the hospital but as of right now hes doing as good as he can be for his condition.

i'm 13. they keep calling me mean names. mostly just "bxtch", i dont even act meanly i dont do anything. i didnt care at first but NOW i do. my mother always tries to impress my brother, god knows why, hes mean to her. so when HE calls me a bxtch, SHE calls me a bxtch, my dad never does anything about it just shakes his head at them. so today my mom said stop being such a bxtch because she told me to do something and i said "in a minute" she didnt hear me so she yelled the same thing again so i said louder "IN A MINUTE" and she said stop being such a bxtch. i got fed up, and i didnt care, so i called her a bxtch right back.she should stfu people arent supposed to call their children "bxtches" no matter what, what a great example shes setting. if i have children i'm going to be a way better mother then her.

what should i do about this. when they call me a bxtch should i talk back? or just be quiet?

she said that she wants to live with him, because it's quieter there. She has two other siblings, ages 5,and 7, and a stepfather, she says that they get on her nerves. Should I let her go live with him? He is a good father. He comes and gets her every other weekend. My husband feels as though she is too young to say where she wants to live, and she should wait until she is a little older. Her father has even move to a bigger apartment in the same complex to accomodate her. He had a one bedroom. Now he has moved into a two bedroom. He's currently paying welfare back for all the years that he did not pay child support. Do you think that he is doing this so that he can say that she is living with him now, so therefore he should not have to pay? Need serious opinions, please.

I know that your parents, brothers, and sisters are your "immediate family". But what about grandparents or great-grandparents - are they also considered "immediate family"?

Just wondering and thanks in advance to anyone who answers my question.

My hubby and I have a great relationship. Our big issue though is our mother-in-laws. He can't stand my mom and his mom drives me crazy! She's flaky and says things without thinking. She hurts people's feelings (not just mine) and my hubby brushes it off by saying she didn't think first. That excuse gets old. She says the most inappropriate things at inappropriate times. She is coming for a visit soon and I get to do most of the entertaining... Please, some words of wisdom to help me keep my calm during this visit.
