I'll be 28 in December and I live on my own. My Mom is driving me nuts by telling me how to dress more girly (says horrible things like I'm the lowest of the low to the point of the gutters on the street just because I wear baggy jeans and XL T-shirts), how I need to lose weight (I'm only 5'6" at 155lbs - average weight and I'm not fat in my opinion), how I need to go to church, ....etc How I need to do all these things. I feel like she's treating me like a child. She don't want to listen to my point of view with anything. It's her way or no way. Whenever I do tell her my point of view, she says, "I've been to Hell and back and I don't need a young girl telling me how it is." She's also takes me telling her my point of view as "talking back." I don't understand. I feel like she's treating me like a child. What do you think? I wish she's just leave me alone and stop picking on me!!! HELP!!

I'm 18 and my mom is still soooo controlling. I can't wear nail polish. I can't wear flip flops cause says that they make my feet dirty. I can't leave my hair long and if i do I have to tie it. I can't have long nails (my mommakes me cut them or she cuts them for me) and I can't wear what I want. I feel so trapped. My 'friend' said to me "why don't you change?" WTF? what do I need to change? My mom is the controlling freak.

Ok, yesterday at night my mother wanted me to accompany her to a tea party but i don't like them, they are so girly, so i stayed home watching tv with my dad, and my dad always gives me a lot of money for shopping so when she returned she was really mad at me because all of her friends had brought their kids but herself, and she told me i only like hanging out with my father because of his money, my father keep staring at me and i was paralized for even realizing my own mother thinks that about me.

he wont let me spend the nite with one of my friends he doesnt approve of. he says shes setting a bad example for me. I feel I know who I am and what I stand for and am going in the right path. how can i convince him of this? so he'll let me spend the nite where I want? I have dreamed of 3 loved ones in the last five years.. does it mean I am more open to connecting to the otherside? Does it run in the Family? My four year old daughter has said things like, " See grandpa over there by the white door?" we were on a walk going around the block and there was no man and my grandfather died 4 days later due to cancer... When she was two she said her my grandmother in the same room she past away in at the time was her playroom.. My brother when he was 6 saw my grandfather after he passed away appear in his room... My mother is always trying to find a realistic answer to ever occurance.. I know she chooses to ignore things.. But could it run in the family?

my whole family, actually clan lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. i am also currently residing here in SF with my mom. my dilemma is it is just way too exoensive to live here. the cost of living is just too high. i end up surviving and not living. i have a good friend who has been recommending me to move out of state. preferably in Denver, Colorado since I have a good friend there. In Colorado, there are better chances of us owning a house and eventually be able to live a better life. im confused i want to go together with my mom but i don't want to miss out my family and my cousins. please help me. thanks!

It was never a big deal really but now he can't get a job because of all the drug testing and lack of motivation. I thought it was just a phase, but it never ended like everyone else I know.

What would you do if you were in this problem... Your inonnocet of any thing that they are saying about you, the judge gives you 60 days in jail, but.. if you loose at trial you get up to 12 months, I dont know how it will go in trial, There is good proof that i didnt to it, but my background(as a younger teen) is hurting that chance that a jury will find me guilty.
So.. I have 2 kids... One is 10 and one is 16 months...
Would you do the 60 days, and come home..
Or go to trial, and plead the best case I can..
Please dont ask me what the trial is about... I am only wondering what you would do.... the 60 days or try to prove your NOT Gulity..

My cousin who is about 9 years old does not see her mom because her mom lost custody of her; she was unable to support her daughter. The mom has no permanent residence and was unable to make sure her daughter was getting to school.
My cousin's father has a grudge against the mother and takes it out on my cousin: she is basically being shunned and ignored when matters come up that involve her mother. The mother and father are on very bad terms.
So... this month it was my cousin's mother's birthday and she wanted to send her a card (she still loves her mother very much because when she was able to take care of her, she was a great mother). So my grandma tried to help her track down her mom, she could not even find close family members on the mother's side. So she told my cousin to ask her mom's ex-boyfriend who is the father of my cousin's half-brother. He ended up telling my cousin's dad and he got FURIOUS with my grandma.
Was it wrong my grandma got involved? What would you have done?

My cousin is kool most of the time, but I can't stand it when her bf calls/talks to her. For example, I called her and we were talking, everything was kool. Then she stopped listening and was like 'uh huh, uh huh.' I'm like 'Are you listening?' Shes like 'my bf imed me.' So I told her i have to go cause she wasn't listening. And other times i would Im her and we woudl talk on aim. Then she would stop answering me. I knew when she stopped answering that her bf was online. And when I call her and her bf call, she hang up on me. ALl she talks about is her bf. I am happy that shes in love but i'm sick of her ditching me for him. Whenever I call/instant message her and her bf call she would stop talking to me/stop listening. What should i do?

He currently works nights and I work days. It's possible for him to change work schedules. But he says he is more of a night person and his work prefers him to work nights. Also, he is contract based. However it is putting a strain on our relationship. I feel lonely when I come home to an empty house. Also I don't feel safe being alone. It's still ok to me, but I'm afriad it's going to cause us to drift apart. He is willing to make the change but I feel like if its a bad decision, then its my fault. What should we do? Does anyone have similiar situations? Are there benefits of having different work schedules.

I called up my mom this afternoon and she said "You are dead to me" and I heard a click. (We must've got disconnected.) When I hit her back up to let her know she was incorrect, I got a prerecorded message from the phone company telling me my number was blocked? : ( Now my mom is all sad thinking I am deceased and there's no way to get through!
