My gf's kids are extremely attached to her. She never really disciplined them unless they did something really bad or got on her nerves. Then she would blow up. She doesn't do that now. Therefore they always slept with her. Now it seems as though we are trying too much and confusing her kids.

She realizes now that she thought she was taking the easy way out and her kids would be fine. But the youngest one has SERIOUS mommy issues. If i discipline the youngest to where she KNOWS she did something wrong...she immediately runs to Mommy. Sometimes I don't even have to say anything.

When I tell the older to sit on the couch when she misbehaves will put her head down and start crying alittle a of course the words mommy come out. I try to tell her that she is all right but she was a bad girl and shouldn't have acted that way.
Should my gf do most of the correcting? Also should i be the one to put them to bed or her? If my gf is not in sight i can get them to lay down.

I am 22 year's of age and am getting married quite soon how ever the past few month's i have felt very tired run down, bad head pain i have been feeling sick mostly in the night.....i have now become sick in the morning's now just the past few days, yet i have had my monthly every month sometime's it's late and sometime's only 3 days long could someone give me some answers please

Everybody say they love me so much: parents, hubby, mother-in-law... but actually I don't feel they respect my opinion nor even let me open my mouth... I feel treated like a baby. What am I doing wrong and how can I stop it and make them respect me more? I am sick and tired of them all.

I just moved to 2000 miles away from my old home. My ex came along for the drive cuz I drove cross country with our daughter and a lotta cash. Now he's leavin in 5 days and super depressed about it. I know he's goanna miss her but he has to go. I'm goanna miss him. I love him but with circumstances it just won't work out. Is there anything any of you can advise to make the separation easier on all of us? He's going 2000 miles away and very anxious as to when he'll see our daughter again. And she's going to take it very hard looking for daddy and he won't be there...any thoughts?

I live with my dad. My mom lives like an hour and a half away from where I do. My dad is married to my stepmom who is a huge *****. They already got mybrother out of the house by making him go crazy on them. No she is starting to put the pressure on me. She is always yelling at me and telling me that I'm going to be a bad kid like my brother. My dad ALWAYS sides with her no matter what. Even though she bitches at me all the time in return my dad is very nice to her kids. I can't move out until I graduate from High School because they signed papers that said I couldn't. If i go crazy they will send me away like they did my brother and i won't be able to see my best friend, who i just met up with again after not seeing her for 2yrs straight. I graduate next March but I don't know if i can take them yelling at me anymore. I can take an *** kicking but I can't take it when I get yelled at. What do I do and how can I keep from going crazy like my brother.

Why when you ask a question someone will answer saying,"go play outside" or "play with your dolls"?We can take care of ourselves and we have good enough parents to make the decisions for us.It gets really annoying and if this happens to you,then you know how this feels.To have some stranger tell you what to do when they are not the parents.

my 15 year old son started smoking lately h tries to hide it but i smell it is his clothes
he knows that we are so much againts smoking and we always talk to him about how bad it is.
i think he does it with friends beacuse he thinks it is cool.
i want to show him on the internet and educate him about how smoking is bad.

I really want things to work out. My sister and brother are younger (22 & 20) than me (27) and they look up to my husband as their older brother. They are rightfully upset with him, but now anything that he does they are really mad at him. My sister went so far as to say she doesn't want him around. He said he wants to work it out; I am hopeful, but also realistic. I know that it could happen again and I will be devastated, but I really love him. We have been together for 12 years, married for 4, no kids, both in grad school. What do I do to keep my family together? Thanks.

The only thing is sometimes i fill resentment toward her. She does these little things that she knows will get to me. Like when i first moved in and she would come over on weekends she would tell me that i would have to sleep on the couch because she was sleeping with her daddy and there wasnt enough room. I didnt want to rat her out so i never told my husband and then we would fight about her needing to sleep in her own bed and she would just smile, she likes it when everything is about her. I usually am very good with children but i have never been around a child like her. At first it seemed like she was out to get me then it got a little better, i still deal with something inside me when she comes over. I know partly its b/c she is not my child, i really think it would be easier if the mother would just give us custody. That will never happen though cause she gets money for her every month. i want this feeling to go away. Filling this way makes me angrey with myself.

My brother really winds me up to death. sometimes when other people in the same room has something like presents, food etc
he gets jealous because he hasn't got anything but when he has something he makes me jelous but sometimes i don't really care. And when i'm on my own he comes up to me and does stupid things like smilling at me, laughing, punching me, walking funny and saying stupid words and also copying what i do and say. Sometimes i don't think hes normal also he has special needs at school so when i try to help him with his homework he gets mardy because he wants me to tell him the answers even when i can't
