My brother really winds me up to death. sometimes when other people in the same room has something like presents, food etc
he gets jealous because he hasn't got anything but when he has something he makes me jelous but sometimes i don't really care. And when i'm on my own he comes up to me and does stupid things like smilling at me, laughing, punching me, walking funny and saying stupid words and also copying what i do and say. Sometimes i don't think hes normal also he has special needs at school so when i try to help him with his homework he gets mardy because he wants me to tell him the answers even when i can't

borthers are brothers they are goign to be like that, you could try to ask him why are you feeling this way and all but just bare with him for a couple more years because pretty soon your going to go to college.. in however many years and just make the best of family. because you will miss them.

First of all, because you care about him so what he does matters to you and second because he's had a lifetime of experience in which buttons to push(brothers have great radar that way). Boys also don't do the words and feelings thing so they express a need for your love and attention by acting out. The homework is just human frustration and wanting an easy answer.

It can be frustrating: Irritating: and damn right annoying, but welcome to the world of 'Sibling Rivalry'!!

This 'Winding' up as you called it, has been going on since the time of Cain & Able the world over: and will still be going on long, long after your great grandkids have all grown up and flown the nest!!

When he gets something and you don't: you get jealous: When you get taken somewhere and he don't: he gets Jealous, etc, etc: But I bet he is as nice as pie to you when you have something he wants to borrow or use?

Ignore him the best you can: tell him to grow up and get a life: chuck some jibes back: whatever!! But get used to it: it is very unlikely to stop any time soon... and if anything like my brother, the mardy bugger will still be doing it going on into your 40's!!

Sorry kidda: but there aint no know cure for this one but a baseball bat: and I would not really recomend that course of acction> as he probably loves you really!!

Take care & God bless xoxo

I dont have a little brother but i am a little sister!
i dont know why younger siblings do this all the time but i have an idea, i think that they look up to their older siblings and want to be with them all the time, does he get jelous if you have friends over? it could be he's feeling a little left out. just ignore him, he'll get over it, its probably just a phase.
If its really a problem you could try spending time with him (not doing homework coz that sucks) just playing if he's the right age or take a ball to the park whatever! Also you can use this as a wepon 'If you go away and stop anoying me i'll take you out again..'ect.
good luck. and dont forget its your parents fault! lol just kidding mum!

I have 6 (yes, 6!) younger brothers. They used to drive me up the wall. We had a lot of problems- the youngest is autistic and very difficult to deal with. But now, we are all grown up and get on so well. It seems like hell at the time, but it will pass. Best to try not to let him know he's annoying you. Easier said than done, but if he knows it won't work, he won't do it. Brothers are like dogs- the training is the same they just need different rewards. If he's nice, bake him cookies, and if he's nasty, ignore him.

Well hun i had 4 brothers and there all that way its in there nature to mess with sisters ..But you can try and ask him to stop it really bothers you ...but if he has special needs in school maybe hes cant stop it might be just the way he is ,,,try smiling back and making a joke with him tell him hes making you laugh and play his game ,,,you might get a better acting brother if you remember that hes different and treat him with more love ...

There is nothing strange in it. It can be just because of the feeling that you are getting more attention than him, especially from parents. After a stage, simple jealousy becomes hatred, which may grow or disappear with age.

I'm sure if you had an older sibling, then you would be the same. Unfortunately only time corrects this one angel.... When you are both older you will look back at this and laugh together, I promise sweetie.
