Did you know 21 babies a day are given to the wrong parents?? Thats insane.?

Well, this might be true for third world countries. For countries like the US,it's likely but there's probably a small chance of this happening.

How did they come up with those figures when if they are giving the babies to the wrong parents they wouldn't know they are doing it. If they are counting they must know and would therefore give the babies back to the correct parents and then it wouldn't be considered as giving babies to the wrong parents anymore. Plus is that in one country or the world? Don't believe everything you read - there is no way of counting those numbers. Plus if they were making so many mistakes would it always be the same number each day? Wouldn't they then do something to fix the problem instead of just continuing giving parents the wrong baby?

That would depend on the birthing facility. That would not happen at most major hospitals cause mom is tagged after admit and as soon as baby is born that ID bracelet is slapped on soooo fast! Maybe smaller places where security is not as up to date, I can see some mix ups occurring.

wow yes I have seen those things on TV and it is so sad!!! When I watch on Maury show I sometimes wonder if some of them got the wrong baby as those girls are so convincing at times...lol Good luck to you. No matter what I bet the parents that raised you love you very much.

may be true, when a friend or family has a baby at a hospital, my mom goes get the baby and brings it to the mother's room w/o permission or surveillance from the hospital staff! Only 1 outta 10 x was she caught, & then they did nothing!!

I like dogs too, they are great companion animals. I like to make cookies on cold days and then go sledding down the street into my neighbors yard it is really neat to go shopping for bathing suits at the mall. I like to eat hamburgers and then go to the lake in the local mountain area of colorado and then goto Spain.

Where did you hear this? My sis just had a baby & the baby stays in birth room, & it wears a braclet that matches hers also has on a anklet that responses if baby is taken off baby floor.

I'm not sure I believe that statistic. Just because someone says it, doesn't make it so. Every example I have seen with my own eyes says that just hardly ever happens...they just have too many safeguards.

I would check who said it....what is their proof that this occurs...and where? Wouldn't work in the hospitals I've seen!
