Ok I was married 3 weeks ago, my new mother in law parked her rv here and there is has stayed for 3 weeks now, minor part that needs to be fixed, but she refuses to fix it, she wants to fix her car she left up her over the winter and drive that back down south..so she's waiting for her social security to "fix" this other car(by the way she will NOT have enough to fix it nor will she have enough to go home, or to live the next for either?? We just got back from our "honeymoon" and are totally broke, my husband is gone all day working, She comes into my home using bathroom etc, without knocking(i've locked the doors now) takes the phone to her trailor, and I'm missing calls, eats our food, not offering to help or anything, I finally blew a "small" gasket and offered to help fix her RV and get it on the road as it is so inexpensive.she refused. She wants to wait for her car. She then came into some money but wanted to go play bingo and us give her a ride! HELP! I don't want to be mean

Great, first my parents split up before i can say my first word, and now they tell me that they were suicidal. Ya, the only reason they're alive today, they tell me, is because the car they were driving ran out of gas.
What would have become of me? i don't know. But either they would have killed me with them, or left me behind..Gee i feel loved!! Anyone else's parents ever said that to them?

I ten to be rude to who I still cal my "sister" because I feel I dont owe her respect, she isnt my mom. I have this sort of anger towards her, that I cant seem to heel. I do not even want to see my blood father, and chose not to, because to me the people who raise me are my true parents. Is this a bad thing? And, get this she still wants to call me her daughter, and she has another daughter who is seven and found out so now calls me her sister, which to me she has always been my neice.. I cant figure this mess out, what should I do?

He married my mom when I was 12, and had me kicked out on my own when I was 17, so I really only lived under "his" roof for 5 years. My "best" memory of him? Him always calling me a "fat, stupid failure". Even when I was on my own at 17, he hated everything I did, mocked me, refused to allow a boyfriend in "his" house (because he hated Mexicans and my bf was Mexican), etc. etc. etc. Mom divorced him 10-13 years ago. I haven't seem him or his side of the family in 17-20 years. They're having a "memorial" for him on 4th of July. I don't know his family anymore, and I don't care to drive 4 hours round-trip on the 4th to remember a man who caused me so much pain.
Am I wrong not to go? His family were all nice enough, but it's been 20 years and I really don't care.

I have a daughter whom I have not seen since birth 2.5 years ago. paternity is established but child support has not been so far. I have been sending $600 for the last 2 years even though there is no order. Now child support agency entered me in their system and soon they will start the support calcs. The mother has a son as well and they stay with their grandmother. Her mother claims everybody as dependents. I earn 130K+ before taxes 80K+ after taxes in California while she does not work (as far as I know) and her mother earns probably at the range of 30K in their state. Does the CSEA take the cost of living differences into account between states? Which state's jurisdiction applies here for child support, where the child resides or where I live? Do they impute her salary based on past work? Can I get the tax deduction for my daughter? I will pursue custody after this is settled.

travel 7 hours one way to see them after I give birth. They are usually wonderful, but they keep trying to guilt me into this. I already feel worn out, I don't want to sit in a car for 7 hours with a 2 year old and a 3 day old to please them. When my daughter was born I made the trip with her because my husband was deploying and I wanted him to spend time with his entire family, but this time it is unecessary-it is just as long for them to come see us. How do I tell them that tactfully because right now I don't even feel like being tactful because I think they are all being selfish.

I have just graduated from high school and am taking a year off before I continue on with post secondary. Right now I am living at home but my parents and I just don't get along. They are not here much but when they are it sucks. Besides, I do everything for myself anyway.. From cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc..

The thing is, my cousin just asked me to move out to a little apartment with her. I am working part time as of right now. I really want to, the idea is SO SO tempting but I am not sure it's the right thing to do...

If I stayed at home (which is in the boonies) I could save money for school, buy myself a car and therefore have more freedom because I can get myself from point A to point B.

If I moved in with my cousin I would be alot happier, but would have to pay bills and get my own groceries. Which would set back me getting my own car (but I would be in town walking distance from everything, and also she has a car we would be sharing)

What would you do?

Okay so my daughters father crawled out from under a rock trying to come back and be a family with me and our daughter again. I was very hesitant because I know that he is a bag of tricks but I wanted my daughter to have a relationship with her dad. Unfortunately when
he came from under the rock he brought the psycho girl he was dealing with while we were separated with him. I tried to give him a chance to be involved with his kid even though all he was interested in was what was going on with me.For the last 2 months I had been going through the drama of psycho girl bashinghis windows and threatning our lives. He would not take any legal action against her and that is what made me realize he was still lying and gaming. Long story short he chose psycho girl and that is fine I hope they rot in hell together. I am not trying 2 keep his kid from him but I don't want him anywhere near my home & I don't want him taking her 2 any unstable environment so can't he get supervised visits?

My mother in law seems to always have an excuse when i ask her to watch my daughter. i ask about 2 weeks or so in advance and she told me she would, then she calls me last night< a week after she told me she would> and says now she can't. last time this happened, we came over just for a visit< my daughter asked to see maw maw> they were watching my sister in laws kids and they were spending the night!! i feel like my child is not as importaint as my s-i-l kids. my other sister in law feels the same way as i do. is there a polite way to tell her how i feel? i don't want to attack her, so to speak. i just want my daughter to feel special to her maw maw too. she asks to see her all the time! i have told her to let me know when she wants to have her for a little bit, and that was about 2 or 3 months ago and haven't heard anything about it!

Last year, (more like a couple months ago), I wantyed to sign up for some AP classes for my junior year. My mother said no at first but she relluctantly signed the paper. A monthish later I told her about the summer work (because that was when it was assigned), she wanted to get me out of the classes.......I eventually got her to give it up and just deal with it.

It's summer and I'm taking a class to make up some credits. This course goes very fast and I have never seen the material before. I ask my mom if she could drop me off back at the school for tutoring ( I can't stay at school after my class is over).

She says," No I'm not making 3 trips to the school. If you fail you might as well take it when school is back in."

This depresses me.

Why does she not care about my education?

Why must I put my life to the side because it's not convienent for her?

my mom says she doesn't like a good friend of mine because she's wild and kind of crazy, but she's cute and funny. i love the girl cause she's so cool. she says she doesn't like her cause she gets out of control. all we were doing was having a pillow fight, at a sleepover!!! what's so bad about that?? when else are you supposed to have one? she yelled at me to knock it off and got all mad and said she didn't want me hanging around her anymore. is it just me, or does she need to just chill out? and is there anything i can do about the matter?

My daughter is 2 years old, and still has my husband's Mother, but she is getting older and has some health issues,so she is limited in what she can do with our daughter. My parents are in their early 60s, and like to be involved from a "distance", i.e. send her a little gift here and there, but don't come and visit (they live in Kansas, we live in Texas) much, and have made it clear that they will not babysit her alone if and when they come down, or if we come up there. This last weekend was my class reunion in Kansas, and we had to leave my daughter down here in Texas because they did not want to keep her for the weekend. They haven't seen her since Christmas! This hurts me deeply, but I know I will never change them. I'm trying not to let it eat at me, but it's difficult, especially when I see all my friends' parents JUMP at the chance to get their hands on their grandkids. How do I cope??

I have been raising my 4 yr. old nephew for a year now on July 4. My S-I-L has really made no attempt to see him or even be in his life.
She left her husband (who she's preggers by) for a controlling woman who runs her life. She has moved back to our home town and has been here for about a month and a half. She has attempted to see him once...and has called 4 times.
She arrived at our home at 12:30am to "retrieve" her son who was sleeping. I calmly told her that she cannot take care of her son...she can't even take care of her daughter (8 yrs) and hasn't seen her since she was 2 yrs old.
Did I mention the fact that she has been in jail more this year than she has been out? We also had to drive to Missouri to pick up my nephew because she was in jail and the chick she was with didn't want him. He would have ended up in foster care. Now... I have to tell you that the chick that didn't want him doesn't have her own kids either because her brother sexually abused them. HELP!
