Mothers are extracting work from father than their children because they think the father to be more suitable for the work. Moreover the children never have the time to help his/her mother out. So the last option is the father. But if the child is capable of doing the work then they extract work from the child rather than father.

I think all grown up children help at their homes. And whats wrong with the father helping the mom. That would make the children better when they have a family of their own. I think that there is a stigma that only the mother should do all the work, and I think its healthy if the father helps in household work.

If the question is why aren't the mothers working, the answer is that they are raising the kids.
If the question is why aren't the kids working, there's laws against child labor.
If the question is why are the fathers having to provide all financial support, it's because they aren't the ones doing the daily "parenting" of the kids.
