my ex and I are going to court in 3 weeks to determine where my son will reside. He is 5 years old and has spent equal ammounts of time with us both. I disapprove of the way she is raising him such as, she let my son miss 11 unanswered days of school, she will not take him to the doctor, he currently has a hernia which I have taken him to the DR. for, and she don't think is a big deal. I am having to take out insurance for him just so he can have this surgey. She is really a terrible parent. She let her boyfriend put welts on my sons legs, which I did call DSS for, but they dropped the case for some reason. I just know that it would be in my sons best interest to reside with me. At the same time I don't want to ask for to much and end up with less time with my son than I have now. Please help with and suggestions or personnal experiences.

My mother-in law is very controlling and always wants her way. She has been at my house now going on 3 weeks. I told my husband it's time to take her home. She is a very hard headed, Italian lady, who argues and argues and yells and points her finger in your face if she disagrees with any conversation she has. I have hives all over my body from the stress, this happens all the time, usually around the third week shes here. What do I do? My husband dosen't see this is causing big problems against us and her. Do I put my foot down and assist he take her home now? please give me advice, I'm at the end of my rope. My friends mother-in-laws only stay 3 to 4 days then go home. It keeps things more calm. My mother-in-law only lives 2 hours away.

My mother wants to get a divorce from my father. My father and his family for the past 14 years have been verbally and emotionally abusive towards me and my mother. Recently my mother went and spoke to a lawyer about how she can go about with a divorce. The lawyer told her that if she did plan on getting one, then she might end up with no money. See, my mother has no college education and her income is much lower than what my father makes. There is still a mortgage on the house, so she wouldnt be able to afford that. She says the whole process of divorce also costs a lot of money and she would be stuck and end up with nothing. I told her that I'd split the rent with her if she got an apart.but she said no.I'm moving out for college, and my father is planing on moving in to my room. I dont see why money is such a big deal and why she cant just start over. She's still young and she has plenty of time to build a happy life. I know if she stays here with my father, then his family and him

What would you do if you knew something so horrible but don't know what to do about it? I was a foster child growing up and I was sexually abused by my foster brother I have 2 younger sisters who were also sexually abused by him. Just yesterday I found out that he has done this horrible thing to many other foster girls who lived either in the home or next door. He has also did this horrible thing to his own little sister, I have told my ex foster mother that he has done this to me and she has done nothing and does not believe a word I say. Last night I called her and told her to please talk to her daughter because I feel that something happened to her. I am afraid that my ex foster mother will do nothing and the foster brother will do it again to other little girls who don't deserve this abuse. Please tell me what I should do. This is really bothering me and I already suffer from depression because of what he and my foster parents did to me. Help please...

Ok I have a friend that was a former college teacher of mine and we became friends. Well we talk over email alot and we have gone to lunch a couple of times and I got her a baby gift b/c she is about to have a baby in a couple of weeks. Well she said that she wanted to go get pedicures "soon" and that was at the end of last month. I asked her through email a couple of weeks ago if she still wanted to go but in her response email she didnt even mention anything about it. Well its been about 10 days now since she last emailed me and she usually never goes this long without responding to me. I have written her again to ask her if it were ok if I brang a meal over after the baby is born. I feel like she doesnt want to go get pedicures.. so she is putting off answering me for awhile so more time will go by and then she will have her baby and then not be able to go. She could have just said no. I dont know if this is right or not.. what do you think? And we dont talk on the phone..

There were several children at the theater Saturday night for the 9:30 pm show. They cried, the parents popped them (um, which just made them cry more) and then the parents just sat there! A couple of people said something to them, but they didn't leave! I think kids under 7 should not be allowed in the theater after a certain time! My husband and I paid $20 to watch the movie, not to listen to kids cry! What do you think?

There is this girl who I like, but she never calls. Well we went on a date about 6 weeks ago, and it went well, but she moved 2 hours away. She did say that she wanted me to visit her a few weeks ago, so we scheduled a weekend for me to come up. She never calls me, and when she does it is because she is calling me back. I called her a week ago, and asked her to call me last weekend, and failed to do so. My question is should I just wait for her to call me, and if she doesn't by friday just forget about the trip?

If you had a good idea that a family member (very close family member) is cheating on their spouse (also very close)? Yes, there is good information on this.

my sister is constantly high in front of my mother (who she lives with) and my mom does nothing. She even lets my sister drive her car when she is high out of her mind. When i question my mom about this she tells me it is none of myu business. Should i butt out . When i talk to my sister she denies everything. I am afraid she is going to kill herself or someone else. My mom is 72 and works to pay her bills. My sister is 45 and has not held a job in 20 years.

I have three female cousins, we all share the same last name, and we live in a small town. One just turned 16 and she got pregnant, and the other two are now working at a strip club as strippers. I have people who come up to my father and friends, thinking that I am them, just because I have the same last name.

What should I do to differentiate myself from these girls?

I've discovered after 44 years of trying to please my folks, that they don't think very highly of me. My dad even went as far as telling my best friend that he was sure my new husband would be good to me, he just wasn't sure I could be good to him... It hurt at first, but now I just want to put it all behind me. Unfortunately, I just moved 300 miles to be closer to them as they have become older and might need my help. Now it seems as if we are separated by a great gulf! Any suggestions?
