my sister is constantly high in front of my mother (who she lives with) and my mom does nothing. She even lets my sister drive her car when she is high out of her mind. When i question my mom about this she tells me it is none of myu business. Should i butt out . When i talk to my sister she denies everything. I am afraid she is going to kill herself or someone else. My mom is 72 and works to pay her bills. My sister is 45 and has not held a job in 20 years.

Its sad to say but there is not much you can do about it. It is a lifestyle choice for your sister, and if she is 45 there is not much you are going to say to change her mind (old dog, new tricks). If your sister hasn't had to change in her life i doubt she will, and she is the only one that can change and nothing you can do is going to change that. (My ex girlfriend was a drug addict and i tried to change her and failed). That's not so say she cannot, but she would have to want to.

Tell your mom she is a BAD mother.THIS will gert her attention. Then explain that she is HELPING her daughter break the law and do drugs and she is JUST AS guilty as the daughter.Tell her if your sis gets high and kills someone, you will see she goes to jail to for helping her by allowing her to use the car when she was messed up.Write it all down though so she will read it, chances are she won't listen if you tell her in person or on the phone.Next time your sis is out driving messed up, call the cops, your not doing wrong, you are protecting society and the life you save may be your own.

could it be your mom feels part to blame for your sister's ways? I agree it is time to take action and when you see this happening call the cops and explain to them that your sister needs help. Sometimes you have to be the parent when they don't to be. Not having a job for twenty years is a bit extreme and at age 72 your moms biggest worry should be keeping up with her grandkids.

Time for tough love.

Call the cops on your sister when she leaves and she is high and driving.
