My god woman, call your husband on this one. His mother is entering your home and stealing. And the worst part is she's stealing for someone that doesn't need it. Put your foot down. Kick her out, change the locks, and don't let her back in. Insist to your husband that this has to stop. But, also check with the sister in law, privately, if there's a reason for this. Maybe her own husband is such a tight wad that he doesn't buy groceries.

But you need to make this woman respect the sanctity of your home.

Good luck, you'll have better luck moving some place else. Write your name on all your food. Ask her why she is stealing your food. Offer to pick up a few things for her the next time you do your shopping.

Your mother in law is out of line. Does she know no boundaries? No manners?!?! Your husband got you into this mess, so regardless of what he says, he is in the middle. Tell him to talk to his mother (like a man) and ask her to stop taking your food.
