did any of you ever {when you were young} hate it when you asked your parents a question, and they would say "go look it up in the dictionary!!! can't you see that i'm busy!!!???

I know...I hate using the dictionary because it takes up time when they could tell you in 2 seconds.

I asked friends or used the internet coz if I asked my parents they'd go into the story of how that word was invented or whatever basically they go back to the beginning and after 3 hours of annoying info i didnt need to know they tell me how to spell it :)

yes, i would. i would ask how to spell a word and they tell me to look it up.

now how am i suppose to look it up if i have no clue on how to spell the word?!

(before we had a computer that could guess your word)

your parents are already smart and know the answer- you dont, you wont remember info if they tell you, you'll remember if you read it for yourself
