My girlfriend and I are at odds with each other...She wants a wedding that is going to cost about 10K easily. I think that money would be better spent on getting a house. I have been married before and had a wedding (3k in costs), this will be her first time. I have offered alternative wedding plans to her such as a deffered wedding on our anniversary date, small intimate ceremony, etc. She has no money saved up..I have about 25k in savings. She has dreamed about a wedding all her life and a nice house as well...but there will be no house if we have an expensive wedding. Am I being unreasonable about not having her dream wedding?

Story: I started seeing this guy in July & fell head over heels. Things went well for a long distance relationship we were both happy until Oct. We had stormy times, & broke up at his request. I was devistated. We have not seen each other for 6 wks. He wanted to be just friends - I thought it would be too hard. But after two weeks agreed it was better than not having him in my life at all. We e-mailed, talked on the phone, etc since Thanksgiving.

Problem: He wants to be "just friends" and told me to move on. I had a date last week, while he knew I was out, he sent me 4 e-mails and was still on-line when I got home, said he couldn't sleep thinking of me with another guy. Okay, so I think he's wanting to be more than friends again. Last night while I was at work, he sent me a text asking how I was. We texted back and forth on my way home from work.

This morning I get an e-mail asking me not to contact him ever again?

What does he want from me?

We're 40ish, not kids!

What do you think? We seem to have great chemistry and have a lot in common. I know my family is ok with it except my older brother. Any advice?

And instead want to just spend their lives with someone? Don't they know that legal marriage is not a sign of true commitment? I mean hello, look at the rates of divorce and infidelity. How can people believe that the married man who cheats on his wife throughout the marriage is more committed than the man who doesn't get married but remains faithful to his non-legal spouse simply because the guy is married? I'm just curious because I see a lot of negative responses when heterosexual people ask about commitment ceremonies and things like that.

my boyfriend has about 15 videos downloaded on his computer plus about 2 full pages saved into his favorites on the web browser. plus he watches it daily on a forum he is registered to.. the forum ones he looks at even when i'm sitting right next to him. as soon as theyre posted he checks it out. is this a normal amount for guys or could he be a little obsessive? the porn itsself isnt whats bothering me, it's the amount that he has.

How about the rest of you that has been cheated on. Tell us how you felt.

I have been w/ my husband for 11 years. He has always been considered the black sheep of his family. When he was a teenager he did some things to deserve this, but now he is respectable, has a good job and a nice family of his own. However, my mother-in-law, father-in-law, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law treat us very badly. They make snide remarks, don't invite us out with them and don't treat our children as fairly as the other grandchildren. I wish we could just write them off and have nothing to do with them, but my husband sticks up for them and for some reason feels he deserves this for what he put them through as a kid. This leads to many fights between us. I hate to see them treat my husband and now me and my kids this way. We only see them on holidays and birthdays, but with Christmas soon approaching I am beginning to dread it. How can I make it through? Should I say something, if so, what can I say that won't uspet my husband?

I don't smoke pot and I'm not around it at all but the other day I went to visit my brother and his friends were smoking pot in his apartment. I made them go on the other side of the room and turn on the fan as I have a drug test to take in the next 72 hours so I need some help...how likely is it that I could fail the drug test from secondhand smoke?

Ladies. When a couple is arguing, why can't the man ever seem to win? No matter what the man says, the woman always proves that he is wrong. However, if he agrees and says, "Yes Dear. You are right.", he appears to be either weak or just not wanting to hear her scream. What is a man supposed to do?

My boyfriend and I have been together 6 years. In that time, naturally, his friends have become mine and vice versa. At the least, we all get along. However, one couple we know (friends that were his before our relationship) seem not to include me in their friendship. They just had kids and so, they don't really hang out anymore. So, he'll go to their house for dinner spontaneously. But, I only hear of it after the fact. The latest is, they sent him an invitation to their party. I usually get mine in the mail the same day, but did not. I moved a year ago. The excuse will be that they don't have my new address. They didn't ask for it either. When I mention this strangeness to my boyfriend, he says that there's no diabolical reason behind it. Still, I can't help but feel like they just... dismiss my existence. The relationship my boyfriend and I have is great. This isn't about him - it's them. I just need a way to put this in perspective. How should I deal with this?

For my Bridal Shower and Rehearsal Dinner. The Rehearsal Dinner is going to be very casual, BBQ and such. The Bridal Shower however is going to be a little nicer. I have no idea what to wear.

What to do? Sometimes I think he is trying to get me pregnant for a way out of his marrige. I don't want a baby I just want him. He said before he came to see me that it was his last time coming over. He has said this before plenty of times. I just ignore it? Maybe he is trying to get me to fight over him. I don't know? I really want things like they use to be. WHAT TO DO

We spoke and she told me that she doesnt know if she still love me anymore.. She told me is not my fault because i am a nice guy and a great dad and that i support her and i listen to her when shes speaks....we are financially stabled. and i help around the house alot, Since i get off one hour before she does from work i pick up my daughter and go home to cook... She told me that she tells her mind that she wants to be with me but that her body tells her differently...She says that sometimes her body rejects me and that she doesnt know why...

If you had a partner that was faithful to you, let you manage all their money, and treated you like a queen/king. Would you be willing to except them telling ALL your business (except sex) to their opposite sex friends(including ex's). Would you be willing to honor your partners view that as long as they give you actions and give them words, and as long as their coming home to you every night it shouldnt matter.....Or would this make you feel like nothing's sacred??

My boyfriend and I... we are like inseperable. He is like my other half and I have no idea where I would be without him in my life. We talk on the phone until around three in the morning or later every night. That is the problem. We are talking to much and are running out of really good things to talk about. And- I am severely lacking sleep. Sometimes, like right at the moment, I feel like my body is just going to crash. It is hard to be aware of my suroundings. It is also showing in my school work. He is 17 and I am going to be 15 in a few days. What is a good approach on how to talk about this with him and how to end the phone call?
