I have recently re-connected with this guy that I really like. We have talked a couple of times. However, when I asked if he has a girlfriend, his answer was "ya", and then after that, he stopped talking to me. What just happened???

sounds like when he said "ya" you got your answer. Sounds like he didn't want to pursue you any further. At least he was honest.

Sounds rather shady to me....
If I were you I would take this as a sign that he's up to no good...because if everything he was doing was innocent you two would still be talking....
Follow your gut on this one....and my gut tells me to leave him alone he's in a relationship already so that's strike number one and this is your chance to get to know what he's really about, if he wasn't doing anything wrong he shouldn't rudely avoid you....
Don't waste your time on a guy that's doesn't have enough respect for you to say hello....you'll thank yourself later

He has a girl friend and when you asked him about it he felt guilty about talking to you so now he wont talk to you anymore.
