i am seeing this older man, i'm 18 and he is 28. he's absolutely fantastic in every way, he treats me like a queen and he's sooo much more mature than any other guy i've been with in the past. we can talk about anything, he's incredibly intelligent which is so sexy. i'm starting to think i can spend the rest of my life with this man.

to get to my question...i havent introduced him to my father yet. my dad has always been way overprotective and i don't want to hear his mouth or deal with the way he will treat my guy. i know i am an adult and shouldnt be concerned with my father's opinion when i know i'm with the right guy.please any advice on how to "break the news" to my dad with avoiding a confrontation at all costs?

also, my mom and her side of the family have all met him and love him(my parents are divorced). he's been very supportive of my delay with my dad but i can imagine he's getting rather frustrated.

has anyone been through this before????

Once you start having to force yourself to spice up your sex life, isn't it really all downhill from there? I hear people say that their sex life is still awesome after 10 yrs with the same partner, but aren't they really just lying to themselves? Don't we all know that sex is the very best it's going to be in the first few years of a relationship? You don't NEED to try and spice things up then, they are pre-spiced, ready to go. I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of answers saying that there are a lot of things a person can do to "keep the fires burning" but my point is that once you consciously start working on keeping those fires burning, you've entered into the downhill territory, haven't you? It doesn't mean you don't love that person anymore, of course. It's just that the sex is NOT going to ever be AS HOT as it was in the first years of the relationship. (Not that I expect that kind of sex now, 10 yrs later. I'm just saying it seems like no one wants to admit that the fire fades)

Seriously, I know it sounds stupid. I don't understand why I'm frustrated at him for not being superman. Why do I expect him to know what I'm thinking, or what I want, without telling him exactly what that is? I have heard of many other women thinking the same thing. Is it instinct? How can I break the habit of thinking my husband should be a superhuman mind reader?

I couldn't really find a category for this to go in. This is the closest that I could get.

I've heard that men always get bored with the same old girl and want some "strange." Also I heard that they can love you but not really be sexually attracted to you anymore, and if they got someone new, they'd be banging the hell out of her!

He used to have a strong sex drive. But over the past 6 months I have been pregnant and gaining weight and it seems we have been having relationship problems. And his sexual advances have become less and less. it's not that I'm all about sex, I could care less, but it makes me feel unattractive.

What could be going on?

i would like to know what people would do in my situation. I am from France and my mother seems not to like my fiancee. I think it is because of her past with my father. I was born in France but my mother was born in Tunisia. She is very old school. I am currently visiting my fiancee in new york and I am only here for 10 days because my mother told me that I would not be welcomed back home. I love my mother and i love my Fiance. My mother thinks that My fiancee is trying to put me against her. That is not the truth. He wants me to do what i think is best for me . He love me and I love him. I want to marry him. I just wish my mother would like him. HE wants me to make the decision because of my age. I am 28 yrs old. I have close ties with my mother and my family but I want to start my life with my fiance but I do not want to lose my mother. I also don't want to lose my fiancee. we have been traveling to see each other for 4 yrs now we want to start but my mother does not agree

I have an 8 month old daughter and i married to a man other tham her father. My husband doesnt feel that my daughter should have any contact with her father and it has a lot to do with the fact that i cheated on him while we were dating. On the other hand the father of my daughter is doing all that he can to help, diapers, money regulary, etc. I have even met with him so that he can visit with my daughter without telling my husband. We are going to child support court in the near future to make payment arrangements. Any way my husband doesnt want my daughters father to have any contact with her period. Keep in mind he has a son of his own, and the relationship between his sons mother and him is not cordial at all. I am confused, Shall i continue to allow her father to see her and provide for her or shall i discontinue? Is my husband being childish?

thurs, my daughter told me about a male teacher at school that is talking dirty to the kids, i mean , real dirty, porno type dirty.
today i went in to the principal, and made a complaint along with the threat that i would call the police if they did not get him out of the school. Now, i'm thinking, i should go ahead and call the police, and press charges against him. The only problem with that is, the kids, I dont want to drag my daughter through that, let alone anybody elses kids.
should i be/can i be satisfied with just getting him out of the school, or will that come back and haunt me and the kids later? these days they plea bargain things down to nothing, I'd hate to put the kids through this, just for them to settle on him, retiring. what should I do ?

I like this girl, and we are going to our homecoming together. Someone asked her before me, but she knew that i was going to ask her sometime. She knows that I like her but she doesnt know what she wants (according to her good friends); that isnt to big of a problem. I was just wondering if i should tell her how i feel, just flat out ask her out after/during the dance, or wait however long it takes. Im asking because it/she is always on my mind!

Ever since my brother left for Japan (school thing, lasts 3 months - til end of November), things have been odd around my house. My mom's been working twice as much since she's gone back to working in her old area of nursing as well as what she recently trained in. and as a result my ex-military-commander-of-30-years dad has been around. Within the last month we've fought and bickered and yelled more than we ever have altogether.
I went into a sort of depression because it felt like no one wanted to listen or cared. It lasted a week, but it comes and goes now.

It seems like everything I do is wrong to my dad, like today we fought twice in under two hours (more like yelling back and forth). He doesn't realize he's intense and thinks it's just everyone else that has a problem, not him. He's been retired for 2 years and hasn't been out much, just some Rotary and occasional errands, and as a result he's been worse.

What can I do? I feel stuck in an off an on depression...

Just to have that special someone that you love so much and you just feel for them so much and want to be with them. To just want to no matter what time it is or how far it is, but to just drive non-stop to make it to see them. I certainly have and it has happened twice today. I hope I am not the only one or seem like a lunatic with this, but I just cannot get over this feeling and would like to know that I am not the only one.
