i like this guy who and i dont know how to ask him out. my friend says she dosent think he is interested. i keep saying the worst thing that can happen is getting turn down. . .right?

My mom has always been a pretty negative person. The older I get the more I realize that she is very gossipy, judgemental and negative. She is my mother and I love her but it's very difficult to be around her. The problem is that I am presently relying upon her to watch my 19 mo. old son while I go to school to become a nurse. My boyfriend and I cannot afford daycare and his mother is unable to handle our son (she's schizophrenic). My mom only watches him 1 day a week and my boyfriend the other (I go to school full-time 2 days/wk). She is okay with my son although I see her repeating a lot of the negative stuff she did during my childhood... like yelling a lot. I try to go over there at least 1 or 2 other days a wk to visit with her and my dad. But she often acts annoyed to see me which really hurts. She's also very negative and makes rude comments. I don't know what to do. She doesn't seem to care. I've tried talking to her but she says nothing's wrong. Should I distance myself?

She says it'll make her happy to see me this year. The only thing is that I live 5,000 miles away from her and plane tickets can be really expensive. Now I know of her paying my sister and my brother to come visit her... Why wouldn't she pay my way??? Why she expects me to go every year but on my own dime?? Alsoo I asked her to pay my way just to TEST her and she'll deny 100% to do it, which I wouldnt allow anyways but it gives me a sad feeling...

Does it matter to you whether your girlfriend is the extremely brainy type like that of a lawyer who always does things with extreme caution, speak and behave with meticulous tactfulness or simply the average intellectual type? Which type attracts and suits you more?

If both girls have the same personality, would you prefer to choose the brainy or the less-brainy one? What is/are your reason(s)?

I just started High School and I just knew like 2 people. I decided to not be so shy and talk to more people. It worked now I have tons of friends, including this really cute guy. I first met him when I was walking with some of his friends around the neighborhood. He would talk to me just like hi and bye. Now he says more to me, and he pushes me playfully and pokes my stomach and plays with my hair and i was starting to think he liked me. Then I find out he has a girlfriend and now I don't know what to think. Please help. I want to know if hes flirting or what. He doesnt play with me like that when his girlfriend is around or with any other girl. But I feel wierd now cuz hes with someone. I would flirt with him but not anymore. What should I do. Should I still flirt or just no touch just talk.

Could someone please give me come advice/help! I have really bad attitude and it looks like its getting worse. I really want to change, i have always been shy,quiet & sweet ( which most people day..) But Now I find my self geting mean & hardheaded. My mom says that I'm disrespectful & I hate that I let myself continue this. I keep saying that I need to stop and change, but i dunno.. I know you can say everything thing..but actually doing it, its a different thing. I have aslo had low self esteem for a while,but I still don'yt understand why I ahve started this. I do want to be mean to anyone , I feel bad & just can't deal with me anymore. I keep praying that that I get strength to realize I truly need & want to change!

my friend called me up and said that he was being kciked out of his house n if he could live with me- i sadi NO! then later he called me saying that he found a home with his english teacher.i was prevoisly in that school but now expelled. the ttecher n my friend had a VERY close relationship and we joked that my m8 got gd marks cos he slept with the teecher. my friend claims the teecher loves him liek a son but i think sumthink esle mite happen! help wadda do? he was kciked out cos he got arrsted by police for vandalism, his mom is violent n ex-alike.

My dad and I don't get along at all and in most instances he is wrong or loses his temper over something he doesn't even have the whole story on. My mom talks my side because he picks on me alot more than me brother and cusses at me and says I'm worthless and why can't I be like my brother. My mom tells him to just drop it and forget it, but he can't. When my mom leaves the room he glares at me and asks if I'm trying to make them get divorced. Then he'll say that it's all my fault that him and my mom don't get along. Is my dad being fair to me? Please help.

I am in College and I am doing a major project which will make or break my academic career. This project is so important because I can't afford to fail it.

A friend that I met here is in the same class as me, and she wants to join my group for the project. My groupmates didn't approve of her because she has a reputation of letting her groupmates do all the work while she does nothing but go on dates... (I experienced that too, last term.). So, she really wants to be on my group but we don't want her. We ignore her everytime because she keeps on insisting that she's our groupmate.

What should I do?

I am 22 yr old male. I moved out of home for reasons of not feeling connected at home anymore and wanting to branch out into the world. My folks are still married and I am an only child. They guilt tripped me for a long time and said things like if you move out you won't get your BA degree. This I tried to tell them but it was not an option. I moved out with my GF which they don't know very well, I told them I was going to find a roomate and they are preterved over this. They don't include her in things but her family includes me in everything. I really love her and she loves me back but our actual relationship is a bit premature. Everything is good except for my parents contact with her and back. Should I try and push the relationship or just watch them both suffer.

Also my Dad is unemployed and my Mom doesn't make much money so I was paying. When I left his words were "looks like you made your escape kid." They rarely call, though I am in school and are angry what to do??

a very close female friend of mine, who is 10 yrs my elder, married & possibly going 2 go thru a divorce, moved 1000 miles away a month ago. we lost contact during her last couple of months, but had at 1 point a very close relationship as friends. have not heard/spoken 2 her since she left. & found out 2day that she has no interest in talking w/ me & had told a mutual friend of ours that she did not want the friend 2 give me her new phone #. leaving me in a state of thoughts i call a clusterfuck. knowing that she doesn't really want 2 talk w/ me or doesn't want me contacting her. even though all the thoughts, emotions, & feelings i have 4 her r still as strong as they have ever been. How do i go about dealing w/ this? should i live w/ her choice & never speak w/ her & keep everything bottled up basically killing myself from the inside out, OR should i call her & try 2 speak w/ the woman in whom doesn't want 2 speak w/ me? please help, 4 i truly do not know what 2 do.

Ok, this guy and I have been talking for a while(3 yrs) but I just started having feelings for him. I really like him and I really don't know what to think of him. He likes to make me feel bad at times, he calls me names, but he says its how he plays, how he jokes. So, sometimes I am ok with it besides i call him names too at times. Sometimes he makes me cry, but he tells me not to cry because he was just playing. He says I don't know why he do what he does.. when i ask him for an explanation to his behaviour of being so mean to me and making me jealous.
He likes to make me jealous all the time. He gives me great advice, he is always there for me. he always talks to me for hours, but I don't know. He confuses me.
I feel like he likes me, but he doesn't at the same time. He tell me some of his plans or what he is planning to do (he just graduated from highschool), and life experiences. I ask him if he doesnt likes me and he says he wouldnt talk to me if he didnt. But I am not a guy to know for sure if he does or not.
I was saying that I am not a guy hence i am a girl, so I don't understand what he is trying to say or why he is acting this way with me all the time.
see sometimes i ask him if he is just playing/using me and he says why would he do that to me? what would be the purpose in it? and he sometimes gets deffensive because i keep on asking that. He also gives me explanations to where he was or what he was doing without me asking or sometimes I do ask. He also asks me what i do and who i was hanging out with (my best guy friends). But then, everything is fine and he starts being so mean. I have told him I don't like that but he says that is who he is, but he never calls me names when he gets angry at me. It is just when we are talking.

my husband wont give me anyt time, always doing work on his laptop. when i ask for time he gets irritated and tell me to go away EVERY SINGLE TIME ..he is loving at times but mostly not. things were different before marraige he cared more but now its like i m just some furniture who sits around in the house. i have a 11 month baby whom i love more than anything so spend with him mostly. i knwo hes not cheating coz hes always home on time. i keep myself bz and do all the work around the house btu if something little stays undone he gets mad.. we never have sex either and imean NEVER.. last time was somewhere in july ..and that too he jsut wanted to get it over with.. should i leave him alone and wait for him to realzie that i am hurt.. what should i do???? very sad

I am old enough to be her father and this girl at work keeps touching, hugging and pestering me...she is a nice girl and I don't like the idea that she does this..it's really annoying.....not to mention others are starting to get weird ideas. I don't want to get her into trouble with work and I already told her it was inappropriate for her to do what she does.

we had decided to split with each other. but when i think about divorce i get scared and worried about my future... my BF loves me a lot and is ready to do anything for me. he is rady to stay with me and also accept my daughter. he is not so good looking compared to me. i doubt whether my parents will accept him. he will very soon tell his father about me. he wants to marry me. on the other hand hubby sya "he never wanted a divorce it was only me who said that" and thats true. but i dont want to keep any relation with his family and neither attend any of there forth coming functions. i also dont want to hurt my BF. he says if nothing is possible lets be friends and will talk to eachother and he will not get married to anyone other than me. he lost his virginity to me. please help and give some suggestion i have less time to decide

I've been been with my boyfriend for a month and we haven't kissed and I'd really like to have that first kiss. I don't think he's shy because we've broken the touch barrier and we're comfortable. Is there a way I can hint for him to kiss me? Or should I just initiate the first kiss? Mind you this would be my first kiss ever. My 19 year old son owes 300K in credit card debt. And he isn't loosing sleep over it. How can I help him without giving him some money to pay it off, not that I have even close to what he owes, but his mother suggested I start giving him a monthly allowance to help him pay it off, but I said no way.
