Does it matter to you whether your girlfriend is the extremely brainy type like that of a lawyer who always does things with extreme caution, speak and behave with meticulous tactfulness or simply the average intellectual type? Which type attracts and suits you more?
If both girls have the same personality, would you prefer to choose the brainy or the less-brainy one? What is/are your reason(s)?

Often, I hear most guys saying brains of a girl does not matter much unless she's really dumb so I wonder if this is true for most guys. Looks like most guys seem to prefer to have brainy ladies as girlfriends. Am I right?

The smarter she is, the better! There's more than booksmarts that is factored into it, though: She should be able to hold a conversation and interact with other people (a lot of brainy girls are socially awkward), she should HAVE AN OPINION and be willing to discuss it, and she should have a basic awareness of what is going on in the world. She should also be at least a little creative, have some spontaneity, and not be uptight.
For me, brains are the most attractive thing about a woman, more important than looks, likes/dislikes, and even sense of humor. Ideally, she should have all of these to a degree, but intelligence is definitely at the top of the list.

i like very, very smart girls. it's soooo sexy to me. if a girl is very smart, she goes way up in attractiveness to me. i almost dated a girl who was actually pretty ugly (i know that sounds mean, sorry) because she was the smartest girl i had ever met. i ended up choosing a hot bimbo instead and i regret it and probably would not do it again.
the kind of intelligence i find sexiest in a woman is a creative type. like an art student or something. in fact, i have a big crush on a babelicious, brainy art student. :)
extreme caution though? if that means she is really boring, then that would be bad, and i might take the average girl.
but otherwise, i'd take the braniac. :)

Why wouldn't you go for the more intelligent girl?
I mean, thinking about it, chances are the more intelligent and thoughtful a girl is, the kinder she is. All guys like kind girls. Also, there's a higher chance that she's career-savvy and will eventually be making more money than the just 'average' intelligence girl.
Truly, it's like asking if you could have 10 cents, or a dollar. You'd take the dollar because it's more, and there's no true benefit coming from the dime.

#1Girl: Just another fun dude I do believe is correct. I can't remember your exact placements, but maybe moon in Cap, and maybe another earth or water in Mars and or Venus. This, I believe is why you are attacted to earth/water signs. I believe you want to sensate what you have deeper inside of you as well as your more basic Sag being. I can tell you just embrace life, and don't want to squander any part of it, including any part of your entire being. So I actually think you are on the right track, but it needs to be juggled a bit. I personally don't think any Cancer guy is going to be the one. I went through a lot of Libras (which goes with my Gemini moon). I still find them very attractive, but Libra was not my best match. I see people have sun sign dating patterns, but this pattern very often breaks at some point. I am married to an Aries, which also goes with my moon, but even more so with my Mars (Leo). If I had to chose, I would pick Guy 1, but I don't think he's the right one to spend the rest of your life with - you've yet to meet this person.

I couldn't handle extremely brainy, but not average either.
Someone intellectual in a more book/artsy way would be more my type.
The hardcore layer type would just be to boring I would think...
Someone who acts crazy, or quiet and funny, but can still sit and talk about music, poems, and phylosophy.

I would get a girl with not straight A+es but not straight Fs, so i would say in the middle. really smart girls can make boys feel stupid, and they don't like that, but if you have bad grades, you'll probably get a bully/jock for a boyfriend.So, i would say the average one.

i would choose to have the more intellectual type b/c i am intelligent and would like to have intelligent conversations with someone on the same level as me. talking to boring people who dont know what theyre talking about gets kinda annoying

I love smart women. Guys for the most part like smart women. They date the dumb girls cuz they tend to be easier to get sex from . Where as smart women have more respect for themselves. So guys look for smart women when they want to get married.

and i'd love to have my partner whose EQ is high,
