You need to research homeschooling and show your parents what the usual workload is like. This is what other families do. Because of the lack of a lunch hour, passing periods, and assemblies, the usual homeschooler can get her homework done in 4 hours or less.
I homeschooled my daughter during 6th grade, and overworked her math. When she got back to school, she was 1/2 a year ahead of her classmates. Even so, I only made her do half the problems in the book. If she made less than a 90 when I graded it, she had to go back and finish the rest of it. So long as she could do 1/2 the work and make the grade, I was happy with her. She still worked too much.
Do some solid research. Present it to your parents and see if they won't adjust your workload.

Its hard to tell what you mean by 56-68 but the point being you feel you are getting too much homework. I would encourage you to sit down with parents and consider coming up with a compromise and schedule which you all can agree on. Perhaps their goals for you to complete the work is quicker than you have in mind. Perhaps there is a way to balance out your other responsibilities and extra stuff so that you can complete what is required. The key, my friend, is communication. If you initiate a positive conversation, I am sure it will go far with your parents and their evaluation of the situation. I would consider coming to the "table" with an alternative and realistic game plan other than its just too much. If you put some thought into it, your parents may be more willing to listen to your suggested alternatives if they are realistic and presented in a mature way.
Go for it. Good luck!

If you have talked to them and they did not relent on giving it, then it seems you must bide your time. So, they are your parents, ask them to help with the time thing you face. Ask for a schedule, so that they really know the problem! Ha! See, you are showing the problem by asking for a schedule. Then, when they give it, show why it won't work by what they forgot! If it is a good schedule they give and you do not want the homework, then submit, as it is your duty for SELF. God bless your life, Earl

What are the numbers in your questions, the number of pages of homework because there surely aren't that many subjects to study. Well I guess I have to take the Mom route here, suck in the lip, sit up straight, get all the supplies you need to do your homework and sit there until it is done. It is just that simple. God Bless.

Do the best you can and always try!! That is all you can do and I would pray at night to ask for my parents to be a little softer with me because you are hurt by this. It might help. Ask and you will receive......and no I am not a bible nut...just a believer in the power of prayer. Have a great week.

I think you're exaggerating a little bit, there, sweetie. I have never been where you have been.I think your parents only want the best for you. Getting a better education, and not letting your mind slip to pink jelly during the time you're not in school. Be thankful that your parents are looking out for you.

Do you mean 56 pages or hours? I can't really answer the question properly without the necessary details.

Good Parents, I'd say. They sure are raising a smart one. Kids need homework. You may be another Einstein someday.
