I often get bullied, I am 14 and have been getting bullied for a while now. I a a very sensitive person, no an extremely sensitive person! If somebody calls me a dumb *** and they are joking around it still will hurt my feelings. And I really hate that I take everybody seriously, and I take everything so personally. What can I do to stop taking everything so personally?

My fiance and I have been together for a year and a half. Known each other for 3. We're best friends, wanting to get married, have children etc. My family is very christian, and very staunch in the ways of there church. The problem is this; my fiance wants to get married very simple, IN THE COURTHOUSE! And have a fancier reception. My parents are already pissed that I'm not getting married in there church, and when I tell my fiance this, he just says that I'm a big girl now and to not worry about my parents and what they want. So I guess my question is this - how do I keep everyone happy? Do I need to put my foot down on certain things and listen to what I want and then plan it that way? BUT my parents would be helping out with the reception financially! That puts a big problem in the situation. I feel like if I don't do it there way, they won't help.

Do wedding gifts even make sense these days? People are getting married much older, and who doesn't already have what they need when they get married nowadays?

I could see how it made sense in the old days, when people got married at 20, had nothing, and all the guests were older than them. I could see how gifts were appropriate.

But nowadays, not so much. For example, we've been invited to a wedding where the bride and groom have way more than we do. A home, three cars, pets, HDTV, you name it. But yet they still have a registry. What could they possibly need that they don't already have? And why are people who have less, like me, expected to get them stuff I wouldn't even get myself? (ie, the stuff in their registry)

Last weekend, my husband and I were invited to our friend's house on the ocean. We spent Saturday night together, we even paid for our friend's drinks and dinner and then on Sunday, after my husband helped our friend doing some yard work, we left. The next day, our friend calls me, saying that we are "really rude". I was surprised by this accusation and found out that the reason for this harsh judgment was that we left some glasses in the sink at the house. I said that we innocently forgot about the glasses and why he is making such a big deal out of it. He replied "this is not a hotel". After this, I got really offended, and just ended the conversation. What do you guys think about this?

Well, i have this friend, i've known him for four months. from the moment i saw him, i thought he was attractive. we didn't had any conversation at all 'cause i didn't had his phone #. sure i would always seen him we we used to go out and i would say hi and give him a hug, but that was it. it wasn't more that that. it was until recently that we saw each other on a club and i invited him to a party at my house. then, we exchanged phone #s, but still, he didn't go to the party we still didn't call him on the phone 'cause i didn't know him that much. it was until recently that we stared calling each other on the phone , but has friends 'cause he had a boyfriend alredy. i had just gotten out of a reliationship too. both, his and my past reliationship had been gone throught the same problems, so he would called me and asked me for advise. now we're really close, i would call him everyday or he would call me and ask how an i doing. i relly like him, but i don't know how to tell him so.

My husband and I have been having a hard time with our marriage lately, it got to the point where my husband said he went down to the court house and got divorce papers. There was a period of about 2 and a half weeks where we were fighting all the time and he was always on the phone and texting someone but would never tell me who. We have now decided to work things out and in doing so I found somethings out. The person he was talking to was another girl that he has been friends with and has worked with for 5 years. The thing is they both use to like each other and still flirt ans tease each other, I know this because I have seen it and read text messages that he hadn't deleted yet. I also found out she was the one that gave him the divorce papers because her herself just went through one. I have asked him not to flirt with her and not to talk to her about our relationship, but he says she is a friend who understands him. Should I be worried that something more is there?

I have married my wife 20 years this December. Looking back she the more than likely was developing the diese then.
5 years later things started getting worse, and have continued to get worse to present. She was finnally dianosed 5 years ago as being Bipolor. Meds seem to help at times, but then we are back to the mania and depression. Se hasn't worked on over 6 years. I have taken a second full time job to make ends meet. When the depression hits there is no cooking, cleaning, much less conversation. Sex is just a memory, although, (Yes ladies i am man) I think that to be a very important aspect of marrige. The mania manifest itself as anger, not usually at me, but at anything or anyone she seems to be fixated on at the time. We went though a round not long ago and It finnally hit me, that this is going to be the rest of my life. I am not going to leave her cold, I still love her to much for that. We have to get her on disability income and insurance. To be continued......

This comes so suddenly, I dont know why he is rushing... is he serious about the relationship or just want a convenience?

My best friend is involved in her 2nd relationship with a married man. She was with the first one for about 3 years and finally realized that he wasn't going to leave his wife for her. (of course the entire time I'm telling her that he wouldn't leave his wife either) Now she is involved with another married man who, like the first, has children. They have been involved for about a year, and from what I can see, this guy is doing the same things that the first guy did. I know that there are a bunch of women out there who choose to date men that they know are married. Why?

I'm engaged and living with my fiancee (been together for 6 years - all through my twenties). I love him but I feel I need to date around more that I never had the chance to explore. I don't know if it's cold feet or if I am going to wake up one day wondering what else I missed out on. He is great, no complaints, but I think due to the length of the relationship, that spark is gone and I am looking for excitement. Is this normal cold feet attitude or should I cancel the wedding and move on? He worships the ground I walk on. I am an emotional wreck over this...dont want to end something and then wake up and realize it was just cold feet...any advice??

I will fart in public in grocery stores, the mall, anywhere and my son is mortified at times! So what? Doesn't everybody fart? I mean, whenever I do it I'll say "There's more room out here than there is in there!!!"

My friend has been working with a local show that is billed as a Broadway-style show as a stage manager. She gets along really well the other stage manager(Brad) and they really act like they are dating, but they are just friends. However, they are sick of the cast and directors asking when they are going to tie the knot. They want to announce a fake engagement on Saturday, just so they are not bugged about it as much for the last two weeks.

I think they may be taking this a little too far, but what can I do? Is there even anything I can do?

Just interested because I saw a question where one woman only gives $30 for a wedding present so I wonder what she spend on a shower gift!!
I normally spend $50 on a shower gift. Is that normal or too little or too much?

I know it's the thought that counts but what is your general spending rule?
