Depends on the person your on the date with.

In the past the answer would have been a definate NO. With my fella we met over the internet so had put the hours in getting to know each other before we met.

But when we met face to face for the first time we looked at each other, instantly knew then that we'd found 'the one' had a cuddle & a kiss. & all that after only saying "hi".

My point is that everyone is different therefore you can go on the same date 3 times with 3 different women & it will turn out in 3 different ways. So I'm afraid I'm no help at all, but I'm trying to say that you'll need to 'go with the flow'!

If it's a great date, then yes I would like a kiss. At the very least a kiss on the cheek. If the evening doesn't end in a kiss, I feel that the date didn't go as well as I thought it did.

I wouldn't want to be pounced on as soon as we met, that's for sure! I wouldn't mind a kiss on the cheek when we met up just to be sweet but I wouldn't be looking for that amazing first date kiss until the end. Unless of course you have that kind of attraction where you can't seem to help yourself.
Where I come from guys don't do hugs and kisses unless they're after something whereas in England where I lived for a bit guys and girls hug you just to say hello. We Scots are not really touchy - feely unless we mean buisiness!! It's not considered 'cool' to get close to someone unless you're going out with them.

Not really, i'd prefer to wait until i got to know the person better. I think out of respect you'd probably be better to wait. I think a kiss on the cheek is sweet, it's not too full on for a first date, but at the same time, you're still letting the person know you like them. When i first met my Fiance he didn't kiss me for a week, but he'd text me after he left & told me that he really liked me & didn't want to rush things. I thought it was lovely, it makes a nice change !!

I THINK A KISS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY DONT HAVE TO MESS UP. YOU GOTA WAIT UNTIL THE PERFECT TIME. A KISS SHOULD BE THE RESPONSE OF TWO HEARTS SO MUCH IN LOVE THAT WANT TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL, WHERE YOU WILL BEGIN WITH PHYSICAL CONTACT. ON THE VERY FIRST DATE, YOU GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER, A KISS CAN DO ACTUALLY MORE WRONG THAN GOOD.

It really depends on how that first date went. I would wait a while for a kiss. What is the rush?

I don't mind a kiss on the first date. If you didn't kiss me on the second date, that would be our last date!

I'm married now, but.... I always wanted to wonder whether they wuold try to kiss me on the first date and then NOT have them try.

It keeps you waiting and wanting more. One thing is for sure - for most things in life the build-up is better than reality. Waiting on stuff like that builds up the anticipation and is fun!
