Well, i have this friend, i've known him for four months. from the moment i saw him, i thought he was attractive. we didn't had any conversation at all 'cause i didn't had his phone #. sure i would always seen him we we used to go out and i would say hi and give him a hug, but that was it. it wasn't more that that. it was until recently that we saw each other on a club and i invited him to a party at my house. then, we exchanged phone #s, but still, he didn't go to the party we still didn't call him on the phone 'cause i didn't know him that much. it was until recently that we stared calling each other on the phone , but has friends 'cause he had a boyfriend alredy. i had just gotten out of a reliationship too. both, his and my past reliationship had been gone throught the same problems, so he would called me and asked me for advise. now we're really close, i would call him everyday or he would call me and ask how an i doing. i relly like him, but i don't know how to tell him so.

To give you a much simpler answer: Once you begin to develop feelings for someone, and therefore begin acting insecure and shy, it is always best to cut to the chase. The longer you let it build up, the more awkward it will become. It will not get easier, so you might as well go for it.

Say something like, "You know I am feeling funny around you because I am beginning to like you as more than a friend." Then continue by saying, "Help me out here, are you having similar feelings or have I lost my mind?" He can then say either, "I am feeling the same way" or he can say, "You are losing your mind."

This gives him a lighthearted way out, and it does the same for you, too. You can say, "Yeah, I thought so," and "Thanks for setting me straight." If this happened it would be easy for the friendship to stay intact; of course, if he answers the other way, you begin the delightful process of a relationship.

Yep, being shy is difficult. But if you don't step up and tell him you think he's cool and want to hang out with him as more than friends, somebody else will. Life's too short and you are too young to start having regrets. So go for it.
