I need a serious answer to this question. If I'm going to have a baby it has to be soon and I don't know what to do. I can't count the number of times mothers have whispered to me in darkened corners 'Don't ever have children, they'll ruin your life.' But then there are other mothers who say that children were a blessing that changed their lives for the better. I don't know who to believe, I don't know what I want. But I have to decide soon, so please be honest and if you cannot be totally honest in this place then don't answer at all.
Thank you!

How do I approach my husband. Ok...the situation is this...I have been babysitting for a total of 4-1/2 years now. Four of those years have been babysitting the same two children. Now my husband is in my life and these children seem to be too comfortable with him and they play rough BUT when they play rough or verbally rough back he get's upset with them and disciplines them. Well he grabbed the little girl today and brought her in the house because she stepped on his dress shoes and the mother is VERY UPSET and DOESN'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN. She doesn't have a problem with discipline just doesn't want him touching them (meaning in a negative way) PLEASE HELP ME explain this in a mature way to him otherwise it will escalate into a HUGE ARGUMENT because he WILL NOT feel he is wrong and will IGNORE the children (I JUST KNOW HE WILL) from this point on.

It is really irritating to deal with her when she acts like she knows more than I do about life. She has no clue. She is a good kid and an excellent student, but her mouth is what gets her in trouble. She talks down to me and I'm tired of it. Some people say if she is a good kid and gets good grades then I shouldn't complain. Well, I work my butt off to provide her and her brother with everything they need. I deserve some respect and apprectiation. I just don't know how to get it from her.

Love You Forever and The Velveteen Rabbit are the culprits in my house. My kids won't even let me read them anymore. We just bought a new copy of Love You Forever for the baby boy on the way and my fiance read it and started crying himself.

If not, what are your reasons. If so, how old are the children you allow to ride?

I have a daughter and a son. About her I can say I love her face and her shyness. What I love about my son is his spontaneity and strong personality....

I am in a bit of a squander and am hoping for some honest opinions. I have two children from a previous marriage and their mother technically doesnt have ground set visitation rights but I agree wholeheartedly that the mother should remain in their lives as much as possible. I am the custodial dad. The problem I am having is a moral issue I guess. Their mother and boyfriend live in a one-room motel room. They have stayed on various weekends. Since starting to stay I have heard that the boyfriend smokes pot, and alcohol, quite a lot when the boys are not around, and drinks when they are but moderately. Should I bring the children for overnights knowing their mother is important and their sleeping arrangements are not. (this boyfriend is about 2 months along in the relationship btw). Also am do you think I should bring them when their mom isnt there for the boyfriend to watch alone? I know its hard based on the vague details...best answer u can give please!

my friends are debating on deadbeat parents...here is the question...if a parent doesnt pay child support and owes 600 dollars....do they get arrested.... i say no because it isnt over a thousand and it just makes them a deadbeat and a loser to be a parent.... my friends say yes.. money is money and it shows that they cant be parents..... and it is the law....solve this debate for us...

They are a 9 yearl old girl and a 12 year old boy. They both do not like me because I have and enforce rules in our home. I do not make them do chores except pick up after themselves because they are not there that often. I do not feel that I am mean but they say that I am.

What my question is...I would like to do something with them to help lighten our relationship without compromising our home rules. Any good ideas?

If a father is behind on paying his child support and the child turns 18 and moves out of mothers house... who will the child support money go to? the mother or the adult son of the father?

Also, will the child support be based on the salary the father was making when he skipped paying the support...or will it be based on how much he makes now (10 yrs later) which is $200,000 more per yr.

my 15 yr old refuses to dress out for PE, but she has had an F in PE since september and I restrict her ...yet she still finds a way to get online sneakily~ gets on the phone sneakily and racked up my cell phone to 250.00!! She got fired from her job for openly flipping a customer off! I have set down my rules and say no to the myspace, no to the going out and no to the phone, but somehow she sneaks it..i even took her make up away (that i bought her mind you)!! and she snook it and found the hiding space..oh she also took a few of my thongs from my dresser and wore them!! she is 15 and i do not think she needs to wear that kind of stuff. mind you i do not give in. I do not believe in corporal punishment even though she has lashed out at me or pushed me when she is mad but i have held her away from me or shouted you touch me and i will call the cops. she is my size and strong! i do not believe in pshysical confrontations and acting out violently , but she gets these moods and acts out.

See several talk about councilling but what use is it to anyone unless they are just coping with seeing something nasty.

I mean... if you have a problem say you are bleeding to geath having a chat with somone aint gonner fix it is it?

neither is somone saying its your fault you dont want councilling.

Its not you fault you need somone to stich up the wound.

Likewise if you car is broke.

Oe say you cant pull you need pulling lessons.

if being bullied you need combat lessons.

if you are having trouble socialising you need socail skills lessons.

if ugly you need a makeover

if lacking confidence sky diving lessons...

Get the general idea?

A chat and a cup of tea wont do didly

So why do people suggest it.?

Likewise if you are like 10 years behind other or more in relatioship temrs and aint done a few long term relationships how is councilling gonner give you the same mindset as somone who has by next week?

So what use is it?

she is alittle over 2 (Mariah) and keeps hurting my daughter who is only 13 months (suzanna). I tried punishing her by time out and doing what she dose to suzanna to her(just not as bad) and nothing ive tried has worked. Mariahs father works diring the day and I stay home with the kids. Mariah acts out more during the day rather then when daddys home. Dose anyone have an ideas on how to make her stop. I cant take it anymore, suzanna now has a screach on the side of her head and a red mark on her face. I dont know what else to do!!!! Im at an loss with her and I dont want suzanna to get hurt anymore.

my ten year old Jake, hit a kid who tried to kiss my 9 year old daughter, Sylvee. i appreciate the fact that he's looking out for her, but my husband and i don't promote violence. should we punish him. He says he's not sorry for what he did, and he'll do it again if he has too (that's what scares me).
