I'm doing foster care after my child is born. I got the booklets on it and all information. The age is 21. Single or married, doesn't matter.

i was 19 when i was approved to be a foster parent for three children that were related to me but taken by cps. i think you just have to be over 18 and prove that you are responsible and can provide adequate care and attention.

in Wisconsin, 21, unless its a family member, then it's called Kinship Care.
