My grandmother was 18 when she had my biologicial mom. And my biologicial mom was 15 when I was born (it was the result of a rape). Well I was 13 when I became a dad after I got my 12 year old girlfriend pregnant. I am the one who raises the little girl now (her mother left town). I am 17 now and my daughter is 3 and a half. I am now engaged to marry my girlfriend. As three generations of my family ended up teen parents what are the odds my daughter will be a teen mom herself?

I have a 16 month old little boy and we have been trying for another baby for a few months now. I was recently over at a close friend of mines house who has a 6 month old daughter and a 21/2 year old nephew. I thought that I wanted my kids to be two years apart but seeing what could potentially be my situation I don't know if I feel comfortable or better yet ready for another one just yet. I would like to know what a good age gap between children is. I want them to be close ( relationship wise, I want them to play together and what not ) so what is the ideal age gap between children?

Am I being Fair? I have a 3 year old who I am desperately trying to potty train so I have offered him Chocolate each time he goes Potty. 1 lil piece of Chocolate if he pees' and 2 lil pieces of Chocolate if he goes poopy.
So, now my question is....I babysit a 5 year old lil girl sometimes and she wants a piece of candy too. I have told her that she is already potty trained and I am trying to teach my son to use the potty like a big boy and by him getting the candy is suposse 2be special 4 him.
Now if I give her candy or something to that effect too then I am not doing anything special for my son &he wont see the potty training thing as anything he wants to do if she gets something too. When Hes the one going potty & not her. Am I wrong? What should I do?
The mom said that her lil girl feels treated unfairly &she isn't trying 2have my son &her kid compete but she wants me 2go &buy her kid sweettarts or something so that when I give my son his chocolate reward her kid gets 1 too?

Okay so my school has this thing that kids can be kept they do all kinds of stuff. Both my kids are in it. So I go and get my kids because we are about to go shopping. I sit them in the car and am putting my stuff up. I turn on the radio and oh yeah comes on. My little 2 year old(just turned 2 yesterday) is singing along with it well rapping should I say LOL. Anyway she isn't sayin the curse words and one of my friends says something to me and I'm talkin to them and I'm waiting and the doors open just as I'm about to leave this parent who was parked beside me shakes her head and says such a shame your exposing your daughters to this mess. I am so shocked I don't even know what to say this woman comes back tommorrow should I confront her. She was really rude and arrogant about it. What do yuo think about parents who poke their nose into other parents bussiness YES EVEN teen parents?

This is meant as a sincere question. I don't like the world much myself. I see that there is a lot of suffering. Also, then most children have to work and toil their entire lives. Yet I have to admit, I started to have a biological kick for a child. I love kids. And I'm very motherly as I have pets. I am told by others i would make a great mom all the time, but what stops me is that I don't think I've had a great life. If I bring a child here, I will enjoy them a lot. But will they be happy to be here once they are out of childhood and realize bad things in the world. What do you think? Thanks.

I have 3 children, tweo girls at 4 and 7 and a boy at 5. I have never spanked them before, but my wife and I do believe in spanking and we both have been spanked before. We rarely had an occasion to spank them before but we hesitated to do so. Last week all three of them have disobeyed in different ways. they were punished with long timeouts, but their behavior didn't change. Do you guys think I should spank them and if so, how should I do it.

What does your body look like? Someone said their breasts were two different sizes and the nipples were looking at the floor, like sand bags. Is this true?

I have been told a few times by younger women that they think that are a better parent than older women, because they feel they can chase the child around and also they can relate to the child and be a friend.

I always think to me this doesn't make sense, because just because a person is in their 30s or 40s it doesn't make them weak physically. Also, a child doesn't need a friend, they need a parent. Also, older parents can generally are more secure financially which can promote health in their children. Older parents also generally have more wisdom and know what are good choices in the world.

What do you think?

my daughter has lots of them either a book/books to cuddle, or a handful of picture bingo tiles or - and this is really weird - she likes to sleep with her bottom on her toy pizza, you know the kind where the pieces are held together with velcro.

should i be worried or are there other strange little people out there?!

I am curious to see if there are any parents who still do this. when I was in school, my parents rewarded me for good grades with money, the scales was:

A - I got $5
B - I got $3
C - I owed them $2

anything below a c was unacceptable and if I ever got straight A's it was $100

Does anyone still do this or plan to do this with their children?
I completely intend to do this with my son. It made me work hard in school to get good grades and taught me that less than 100% effort and there were consequences.
