Does a sibling count? Because my older sister thought she was my parent. I went a year without talking to her and it was the best time of my life as soon as I gave her a chance my life became hell again.

But you know there's been times I would be pissed at my parents and go a short time with not talking to them, most of the time they were the ones who were right, it was my own stupidity. I wasted a lot of time through my life doing that when I was growing up, I'm not that old now and I will tell you I regret every minute of it now because my dad passed away this last year and I would give anything to have him back. Family is suppost to be there for you no matter what, at least that is what I was taught.(I make exceptions for my sister though she's psyco I could care less) But as for parents don't take advantage of them. They love you no matter what. I have a child and I know now there's no other kind of love.

I hoped that helps your question

I went 10 days with out speaking to my mom. It was when she was in New Orleans helping with reconstruction efforts and didn't have her cell or access to a phone.

I think the longest I've went without talking to my dad was when he didn't come home for two weeks. That was a long time ago.

lol, funny question. I stopped speaking to my parents for over a year when I was 18 months old, yes months...I was jealous because my sister was born and all of a sudden I wasn't the only one getting attention. so I shut up. They took me to lots of doc. and tried everything but nothing helped. After awhile I started speaking again and now I talk to them like every 3-4 days. Hope this helps

Oh boy, this brings back good memories. I didn't speak to mine for a month, because they forgot my birthday. I would probably typically be a little more forgiving, but I am pregnant and bitter ALOT!!

3 days and I would have gone longer but she threatened to go make me live with my dad and go to a counselor.

I'd rather not mention why though, sorry. It was one main thing plus a bunch of little things.

I went almost 7 years without speaking to my father --- very long story ---- but now we're speaking.

My mother died several years ago but there was never a time that we didn't speak. We were very close.

I haven't spoken to my parents in twenty-three years.
Why??
It's simple! Both of my parents are dead and buried.
