I don't know what he did wrong, But to me the parents should be punished for neglect!!!

NO! This is completely wrong. People need to eat, its a fact of life. You need to CPS otherwise you are enabling child abuse. Do not confront the parents yourself, as it could end in disaster. Not feeding a child is grounds for having a child removed from that household. Even if CPS does not take the child out of the home, their visit should make the parents think twice about what is acceptable punishment.

Starving someone is not a form of punishment. It's abuse. Child protective services should be called.

NOO!! That is horrible. They could cut out the junk food or something, but starving him is cruel and unusual punishment.
And who knows, maybe he just says that they are starving him and they are really just letting him have 3 meals a day.

If this incident is in fact the truth ,you have a moral and possibly legal obligation to report this to chilld protective services.With holding the necessities of life (food) is neglect.If you don't speak out for this boy who will?

That's called abuse. I'm all for strict discipline, but that's a just a bit much. Lord knows, around these parts if I did something like that I don't think they would even allow me to kiss my children good-bye as they took them away.

Why on earth would they do that!! That is definitely neglect! You should punish a kid to teach them a lesson, but the only lesson he will be learning is how it feels to be SOOO hungry.
