point blank she is getting on my nerves! i dont think it's fair for men to always pay for things like this, because now a days you can't trust no one. but she told me she had sex with 2 other dudes during the time but im the only one that treated her nice...come on thats a bunch of bull and she know if i think/know it's not my child why do i have to pay? why can't she? ain't she trying to prove something too? and now i have old papers that i got from my old address before the storm katrina-this people trying to put me on child support for a fact thats not proven and that is so wrong. so if i have to pay and i think/know it's not mine why she can't pay to prove that it is mine? if thats the case why don't the social services make both parties pay half thats the right thing to do if you ask me! so if any body have a answer or advice please contact me thank you and enjoy the rest of your day/evening/night?

He is very addicted to games. I had so many talks of how games wont help me in life, but he doesn't listen to me. He is getting C's and B's. He used to be a very smart kid. He struggles to learn now and still plays. Help! I would also need some good study habits to show my son. Mine aren't working for him.

What I'm refering to is a swat on the backside or the back of the hand. Not taking them out to the woodshed like my grandmother did to me.

While on vacation, out of the country, your son, who has no driver's license, uses your car. He gets caught by a family member who is checking on things for you and uses the car again. How do you punish this rebellious 19 year old?

My friend and her husband are doing interviews and this is the first time they've done them for a babysitter so they are wondering what questions should be asked (in addition to checking references).

Is accepting six hours of free child care while your husband is deployed to Iraq the same as being on welfare?

If you feel it is please explain what you would to in order to get some things done that children cannot be there for--hair appointments, doctor appointments, registering vehicles, emergencies or just having a little time for yourself?

Please remember you would not live by family or close friends that are able to baby sit.

Thanks for answering!!

I was always bought up to respect my parents. If we were naughty we got a smack. This being with what ever was handy, weather it was a hand, belt, strap, jug cord etc. It was never excessive force, just a little sting to put us back in line. Why is it today that it is such a big no no. My ten year old daughter threatned to go her school teacher when i gave her a little smack for using bad language. Do parents not smack their children any more. It never did us any harm as kids and helped us learn to give respect.

Sometimes we need to open our minds a bit and meet different kinds of people.

The daughter is 16 and is me.

I'm 26. Married for 4 years. Sometimes I want children. Sometimes I really don't. I've read before it's a misconception that people are happier after having children. In fact, marrital satisfaction goes down after having kids and goes back up again after kids move out. My parents are getting older though, and I figure eventually we'll have kids anyway--- and I want my kids to know their grandparents. But sometimes, when I'm watching other people's children, I find them annoying and gross. Gross to wipe their noses. Annoying when they don't do what I tell them to do. Wouldn't it be different if they were my own kids?

THE OLDEST WHO IS ABOUT 7 IS TERRIFIED TO LEAVE HIS PARENT FOR FEAR OF PARENT BEING LONELY. THE YOUNGEST 2 ARE ALWAYS HUNGRY. WHEN THEY COME TO VISIT ME THEY SHOVEL FOOD INTO THEIR MOUTHS LIKE THEY HAVENT EATEN IN DAYS. I KNOW THEY GET 2 MEALS A DAY AT SCHOOL BUT ON WEEKENDS USUALLY ONLY GET SUPPER. THE LITTLEST ONE LOOKS LIKE AN ETHIPIAN WITH THE PROTRUDING BELLY AND SKINNY ARMS AND LEGS. I FEEL SO SORRY FOR THEM THAT I ALLOW THEM TO EAT ANYTHING THEY WANT WHEN I SEE THEM. I ALSO GIVE THEM MONEY TO BUY SNACKS AT SCHOOL. I KNOW THESE ARE NOT NUTRITIIONAL SNACKS BUT AT LEAST IT IS SOMETHING. I HAVE TRIED TALKING TO THE PARENT ABOUT THIS BUT WITH NO CHANGE TO BE SEEN. SHOULD I INTERFERE?

someone i know has a child in foster care has been telling me some stuff that their worker has been doing and i have a few questions...

1 a. If you have an in-home worker who's supposed to be helping you get your kid back by checking your apartment, can she get the landlord to just let her in without your permission?

1 b. if NOT what can you do about it?

2. Can an in-home worker FORCE you to call her before you go ANYWHERE (so you can get her permission to go)?

3a. a child has a diffrent mark on them every other week in foster care and didn't have any marks on them when they was at home with their parents... what would you think???

3b. what could be done about it??

I have a 2 1/2 yr old son that use to do great with getting pics done. Now for about the past year all he does is wants to get the toys they have or props, like balls. He loves balls and if he doesnt get to hold it he throws a screaming fit. He is REALLY bad at The Picture People because he doesnt have to sit on table so he runs off and gets props or goes behind curtain. He never smiles much anymore cause he looses interest. Is this normal. What can I do.
