Whatever is offered. There are a couple of moms that I switch off with - I watch theirs, they watch mine. Most of the time I ask for what I need. Maybe 10 buck - depends because we're all poor, so we just help each other out - co-mothering.

I charge a dollar and a half an hour per child. But I have been told that's way too low.So you may want someone Else's advice.I charge low cause I have been on the paying end before and with 3 children it can really add up fast.

One friend and I just used to trade off. Other friends paid me an hourly rate and added more if I were to provide meals or over night. I think I got about $7 an hour per child. Its been a long time.

I don't charge anything. I treat the child as if it's a guest visiting...because he or she is a guest in our home. Would I charge one of my friends for coming over and having a meal? We're both benefiting from the exchange of socialization, sharing, etc..

me and my friend just trade off, so we dont charge each other anything. if it was someone i didnt know all that well i would charge $3.50 an hour, as that is the normal going rate, i know its cheap but its on a military base.
