There is a little boy in my son's kindergarten class who is very agressive - he is always punching my son, throwing him to the ground & punching him, he even pulls my son's pants off; takes my son's gloves and hat and throws them high up into a tree They are always laughing, the other kids mom says "don't they play nicely together". I don't care for that form of play, its my son at the receiving end. She never says anything to her son about his behaviour. The other day, she wasn't around, and her son was wailing on my kid, I grabbed his arm and said to him quite sternly, "DON'T..... TOUCH..... MY..... SON". He backed off & now his mother gives me dirty looks & won't talk to me anymore. Was I wrong?

My son has had nothing other than the breast since birth other than for water. He seems to ABSOLUTELY need it to go to sleep. He is almost 6 months old and already has teeth that he doesn't mind using when he gets angry / fussy and I just need to switch things a little... I'm just not to sure how to, if it's the right time to... I don't want to do anything with my child that I shouldn't do or do it at the wrong time!!! Any suggestions?¿?¿?

Huffing which is formally called inhalants is when kids (can be as young as 9 or so) deliberately inhale fumes from household or industrial products such as glue, paint/paint thinner, nail polish/remover, whipped cream dispensers (which is nitrous oxide) or gasoline for a cheap, quick high. My friend has permanent damage from doing that when she was just 12. She's now in her 30's and still has a lot of problems including the brain damage and bone marrow (fatty inner lining of the bones) damage. Thanks for reading. National Inhalant Prevention Coalition: www.inhalants.org (Please be aware of the 'choking game' or 'pass out' game which is another risk to one's life and quality of life.)

why dont parents make sure they are experts on drugs? as it surrounds kids and teenagers.

As many look stupid ans clueless.

its the same as if you wnet to austrialia and did not look up all the dodgy wild life.

ie let kids crawl under houses, play in banana fields, paddle in the sea in the north or feed the ducks there, fishing on the banks of the rivers

Why do parents think their kids know it all with regards to sex when its clear they dont with all the myths?.

Look around this site even...

to see all the can you get pregnant doing this or that?

Or we did this could we be pregnant or didn't do that.

Why dont all parents get a exam with all the mythes and make sure the kid gets a 100% mark or no dating.

I placed my daughter up for adoption when she was born. I was in an abusive marriage and i was certainly not going to have my husband hurt her too. She went to a wonderful family who love her very much. I know i should have thought of that before i got pregnant but I did not. It has been over two years since then and my mother hates me for it. She says i was childish and made a poor decision, but I think I made the right choice in wanting to keep my daughter safe. Please tell me what you think. Did I do the right thing for her?

I think it's great, but my MIL disagrees. She thinks they should just concentrate on their children now, and not adopt again. I think the fact that they are giving them what will most likely be a much better life than they could have had is an incredible gesture, and they should be praised for it.
I know it's really none of our business, but I'm just curious what everyone else thinks.

When I was 15, my parents (biological) adopted a 2 year old that was in their foster home. He has lived with my parents since he was six weeks old, and we are the only family he has ever known. He was placed into foster care b/c his mother was a drug addict and unable to care for him. We know (from the adoption records) that he has 6 older siblings out there. Due to his mother's drug use while pregnant, he has the mind of a four year old and he is actually 10. He is a happy child and never asks any questions about how he came to exist (I don't think he understands it yet due his developmental delays). How do we go about telling him, being that he is disabled?

Daycare , preschool , absent fathers , routine divorce , out of wedlock births , parents more interested in thier own leisure than their childrens need for supervision .
We have completely seperated parents from thier responsibility to raise thier own children . As a result children rarely witness the more gentle qualities of human behavior , this has resulted in an entire generation incapable of empathy , kindness , or just basic human decency .

For parent(s) to pick their childs future career, because they are paying for the education. If the child does not want to be what the parent says because the parents think the child cant be anything else. And how would you get out of that with your parents being not really understanding and easily angered.
