I am a black mom and I used to get my tail beat! My white friends hardly ever got in trouble for the same stuff. Well, what end up happening, they became more and more disrespectful and defiant. They were unhappy deep down inside. No matter how successful they became they felt unsatisfied. You have to know a child's self esteem is developed by a loving parent. If you see they are super lax on you and everybody else is getting the serious A$$ whooping, you start to feel you arn't as important to your parents as the others are. It makes them inferior to everybody else. I suggest all parents use that belt every now and again.

I'm white and got my *** beat alot growing up. I think it depends on the parent. Although parenting classes are very educational. I'm a firm believer of spare the rod spoil the child. I see parents now not whippin their kids, on top of it's illegal now. I see how kids have no respect for authority now because of it. If I would of acted like I see kids now days I would of got my *** whipped right there in front of who ever, where ever I was. That's the problem now days.

Seriously, it doesn't matter what the race of the parent is....all parents from all different skin colors have different methods for disciplining their kids, it isn't some "racial" way of taking care of kids, there's white parents who beat their kids to death, and there's parents (black, hispanic, asian) who choose to not use physical punishment, it's just a matter of upbringing. I wonder if any of you people even think before you post such commentary, makes you wonder just how our taxes are being put into kids "education".

There is a big difference between disciplining your child and beating them.Discipline should be appropriate to the situation. Beating sounds like a parent out of contrrol.Beating your children is abuse and against the law regardless of race. For the record your racist comments show you have beeen beat one too many times.

Gee, that's a pretty good almost word-for-word copy of a comedy routine which I watched on a video over at a friend's house last month...only I don't remember him specifically aiming it at Canadian white people, just white people in general....it'd probably be funnier if it was your own material.

White Canadians are born lacking the gene that allows them to beat their children.

It has nothing to do with race. This isn't funny. Children are beaten and abused across society....it is in every aspect. I find nothing funny about "beating" a child.

If you beat your child, it is in fact, not to discipline him/her but that you simply can`t control your anger...Being good parents is you have to treat your kid with love and dignity. That way they will love and respect you...mistreating your kid will simply inflict wound in his heart and might lead to a negative life in the long run...

Not funny. If you were the REAL Russell Peters it still wouldn't be funny.
We are learning that a child can be disciplined just as effectively without beating him/her. That makes it a better world for our children, & their children as well. ;-)
