Huffing which is formally called inhalants is when kids (can be as young as 9 or so) deliberately inhale fumes from household or industrial products such as glue, paint/paint thinner, nail polish/remover, whipped cream dispensers (which is nitrous oxide) or gasoline for a cheap, quick high. My friend has permanent damage from doing that when she was just 12. She's now in her 30's and still has a lot of problems including the brain damage and bone marrow (fatty inner lining of the bones) damage. Thanks for reading. National Inhalant Prevention Coalition: www.inhalants.org (Please be aware of the 'choking game' or 'pass out' game which is another risk to one's life and quality of life.)

thank you for posting this information. This does not only pose a problem for kids, but adults as well. My uncle suffered a brain anurism (i'm sure thats misspelled) and died instantly form a huffing experience and he was in his late twenties and otherwise healthy. Kids need to know that huffing anything..yes even whipped cream cans.. is dangerous.

Yes, I've heard of it, it has been around for ages.
One of the latest fads seems to be "pharming," ie., misusing prescription drugs. Some will bring meds from home to a party and dump them in a bowl. Then as the evening wears on, they take turns grabbing a handful of random pills and taking them. So there will be heart pills, nerve pills, pain pills, hormones, diuretics, impotence pills, etc., and nobody knows what they are taking or what is being taken together.

Yep heard of it. My best friend used to do it in high school. She later developed quite a bad drug problem. She is now clean though at 28 years old.

have you heard of the flower that grows on a bush (i though it was called belladonna) it has a white flower like a horn or the old fashioned radio speakers. when i was a kid we use to boil the plant and drink the "tea" it caused horrible hallucinations and i have heard a lot of kids have died taking this. and it grows everywhere. its scary!

Scary isn't it. Makes you want to move out in the middle of the woods and keep your kids away from society and it's corruptions.
