its up to you really can either pay a set rate of say £15-20 for the whole night(well hours) or 3-5 an hour, discuss this with the babysitter first see how she feels

I am in the US and am not qualified to answer this question; there is a point I would like to raise.
If I left my young ones (over 5 under 13) in the care of a babysitter at my home from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am - I would be apposed to pay more than $20.00 / 15GBS. I could see paying more if the children were at a location other than my home. Or if this is a professional service.
Although I don't believe in not paying fairly for service rendered, somethings are not the domain of BUSINESS. I would gladly spent the evening at the home of a friend while the parents are out, although I prefer that the parents return the service so that I can get some child-free time, the victimization of turning this activity into a business is bad for our community. Living in harmony and supportive of each other is far more valuable than the money if the parents can afford it. If they can't, it is even more important to help and not charge.

I dont know uk money but I was a babysitter and I would expect 25 if i were to just sit with them for a couple of hours then have to put them to bed and sit until the parents arrived home. IF i have to entertain the children for 5 hours then i would expect maybe 40. Nothing more tho

hi, I've looked through the answers you've been given, and boy are they varied! i wonder if the rate varies from different area's? here in the north east of England we usually pay £10 to £15 for hours like that. As your kids are older they will be quite independent so its probably just a case of having someone responsible with them as they are too young to be left alone for that period of time. Have a good night out!!

it truly is because of the little while period dedication. you'll discover an identical issue is genuine of those short-time period babysitting places at some strip shops. They fee lots, yet in reality use them some hours vs. all day on a daily basis. do no longer ignore that the authorities seems at it otherwise to boot. Daycare (worrying for baby so as that parent can flow to artwork or attend college) is taxed, even as babysitting isn't. My advice is to make certain what the going price is for the age team you propose to take care of. ultimately, poster Leann will be stumbled on out even as a parent tries to get the youngster care credit. A tax audit isn't a delightful issue.

Three dollars an hour and then I paid 5.00 if we were out after midnight. A good sitter is hard to find so if you have one pay them well so they will want to come back.
