take it away and dont let him see it again... thats what i did... it worked great for me my son never asked for it... although it seems like he wined a whole lot more to hell with it... im glad to see someone like me wanting to get that out of thier kids mouth before its too late and they start freaking out for it... good luck... oh and do it at night when he is asleep to avoid any conflict with him... he might just forget about it... i did this with the bottle too around the same time not too far apart... i started giving it to him only to go to bed then i took that away too...

hi. i've got have been given 2 year previous boy/female twins and an toddler son. My son from the twin set does this too. He bangs his head on the floor, on the wall, on the table. i've got in no way seen him bang his head whilst he's excited, purely mad and he screams and throws issues too (which i'm engaged on). He has an extremely undesirable temper and would't deal nicely with rejection or being affected person. whilst he gets too excited, he grits his teeth and shakes. Lol. i think your son's habit is usual. some little ones do not recognize a thank you to deal with solid thoughts or do not recognize how else to get interest. purely forget approximately approximately him whilst he does this. He won't knock his brains out. purely make beneficial there is not something that ought to harm him around (blocks, toys with pointed edges, sippy cups etc.) or little ones and pets that he ought to harm until now you forget approximately approximately him. :)

Try snipping the end off a little a time. The pacifier won't provide the same sucking satisfaction as it once did. The idea is that he will not like the feeling and give it up on his own. Good luck!!

Start cutting down. Only give him it at naps or bedtime for a few days. Then cut out naps, then bedtime. He may be fussier for awhile without it, but it will be MUCH easier for you to do it now. Even a few months from now, it will probably be a huge battle. Just give him lots of extra hugging and cuddling, since he will need to find comfort elsewhere. Good luck!

Give him a new toy or a bankie to take to bed instead. Get him to give his dummies to a new baby . Becuase his such a big boy now and doesnt need them and the baby does. (even if the mum never uses them )

Throw them all away except 1. Then take him to build a bear and place that pacifier inside his new bear. Now he has a special bear that holds his pacifier. Just an idea. Hope it helps.

Ten months? He's still fine with it. My son started refusing it at 18 months or so.

take it away and replace it with something else your baby would like. I used to tell my daughter that the kitty took her pacifier and everytime she'd start looking for it, I'd distract her until she got used to not having it.
