whenever we did something wrong we had a family meeting after talking about it we decide about physical dicipline for instance my sister one time got spanked for 45 minutesfor coming late around 2 am when she was 16 , ...and every single member of family should contribute ,one at a time, in this discipline and spank or cane the "bad" person... we all turn out to be ok people,,,now you think is it really good way to dicipline since we are all college graduate, drug free... my dad don't let us to live independtly so we should stay at home before getting married...
also, my dad has different stick from different materials which call it "tame tool" is which was/still is my dad's closet, and we had to go on top of table in frog position and they hit you in butt

spanking or slapping your kids gentally seems like a good idea and the "easy" way out, and the most effective way, because children don't want to be in pain. in my opinion, they would probably end up be scared and/or hating you. children are too young to acknowledge what you are doin, spanking, is good for them, to them is violence. also, they will learn from your action, meaning they would end up slapping or spanking their bros and sis. i would not choose spanking like many cultures will do, i would find another way to discipline your kid, like taking away their free time, playing games, etc.

i think the hardest thing for many people is realizing that maybe their parents weren't perfect.

for instance, sometimes is a parent is racist, the child will say, "if racism is so wrong, why did my father believe in it. are you saying my father was wrong?"

yes, the father is wrong. but life isnt one-sided. you can still love your father. your father might be a good person in other ways, but he is only human and he is bound to be wrong about a few things. so yes, its possible racism is wrong and if your father believe its, its possible he is wrong too.

it is okay to recognize your parents are not right. just remember that.
