I am a proud father of my 13 year old daughter Kristin and she recently asked for me to buy her thong panties and thong swimwear. I think she is a great kid as she has a 4.0 G.P.A and she never has gotten in any trouble but I am worried about this. I never had a reason to doubt her before and I am raising her by myself. It's just that I know when I go to the beach and see a young teen in a thong, as a 33 year old guy, I know it would excite me. I can only imagine if the boys know she is wearing it, what it may do. I dont want her pregnant and I dont want older guys on the beach to be checking her out. What, should I do? She is a very pretty innocent girl, and I dont want her to be some older mans masturbation fantasy. Should I just say no?

about dating in today's world?
Should she pay her own way to avoid the mindset of "owing" something to her date? [Not that I believe it, mind you, but the mindset does exist, and I want my kids to be prepared when they encounter it.]
What is the purpose of dating for the under 21 crowd?

My mom watches my son while his father and I work during the week. He gets along great with my family. The problem is that he does not want to come home with me some days, and it makes me feel just horrible. Some days are so bad that my mom or dad have to take him to the car for me. He has his good days and his bad days, so it always isn't this bad. It just makes me feel that he would rather be with his grandparents than with his own parents (like we aren't doing a good job with him). It really upsets me, and my parents can't understand why.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I live in the state of Wisconsin (that may be pertinent to the information given), I live with my girlfriend, she has a four month old daughter. How I do I go about adopting her? And, how does this affect the biological father? What are the costs? What are my final duties as the adoptive father? Does he still pay child support? He is responsible for her anymore?

If you see a parent disciplining a child in public and you think it was innappropriate do you say something or mind your own buisness?
I ask because yesterday i had my kids at the park. This other woman had her kids there but wasnt playing with them AND seemed to expect the older children to entertain the youngest (they were probably 2, 6 and 8). well the 8yo was trying to put the 2yo in a baby swing but couldnt because the child had smowboots on. The mother came up and started in on the 8yo and said "you have to take off the boots to get him in the swing...why dont you pretend you have a brain" !!!
when she walked away i went to her and told her that I didnt think that was nessisary as SHE was the one who put snowboots on her child on a 75 degree day to go to a park....
USUALLY I mind my own buisness but this little boy looked heartbroken...not only can he not enjoy his day at the park because he has to entertain his brother but his mom calls him stupid! What would you have done?

Well when me and my brother where kids we got smacked not beaten just smacked on the bottem. And the best way to get me inline was to smack meon a bair bottem.
I remeber when my parents started spanking.it was when i was at my grandmas house with my mum and i was rude to her and my grandma took my hand and took me to the kitchen and took out a wooden spoon nelt down removed my skirt and pants and said if your mother spoke tome the way you did this is what she would have got...then she took me up to my mums old room and made me sit on the chair witch my mum used to have to sit on. i never misbehaved when she was around again i tell you. my kids get a smack bum as a last resort through love.
i am grateful to my grandmother as what she did changed the way i acted completly
i ask theparents who say i only give them a light tap...what would you call a light tap i would say that is mearly touching them and wouldnt have any affect. what is so wrong with smacking i also ask the parents who

a good friend of my moms just became a grandma, her son is 21 and the mother is 16 (yea) anyway since this child has been born these two have not really done anything for him, they litterally make his mom do and threaten her by saying if she doesnt she cant see him anymore. (both her son and the mother have behavior problems and have to be on meds) well the baby was born early and weighed a little over 4 lbs then instead of gaining he lost and ended up in the hospital, where neither of the parents stayed with him they made his mom once again. baby is 2 months old and they take him to the hospital at least once a week and MAKE them keep him, and they dont stay there. if any of that wasnt upsetting enough to anyone, the grandma isnt much better, they dont have a crib for him so he usually sleeps in his car seat, two nights ago she actually told my mom she put him in a laundry basket to sleep, they dont clean they have cat and dog poop all over the house, its not sanitary, what to do????

My daughter is 19 months old and has just recently become very clingy to me. It is not an attachment issue because when she goes to daycare she does not cry or anything, she plays happily. And she only goes to daycare for a few hours a day. She was not like this before, but all the sudden she wants to be held all the time or on my lap, as close to me as she can be. I dont have a problem with this and i hold her when she asks but my friend told me that she is trying to see how much she can get away with and that i am spoiling her by holding her. what do you think?

make sure they're safe, so I take them every day after school. They see their mates and play ball etc. Now my son wants to stay out even when we come home, I spend about 1 and a half hours each time after school there. Do you think this is fair?

my 5yr. old has been invited to a slumber b-day party by one of her best friends...the child and her mom are very nice people we have had serveral play dates at the park, zoo, etc. but i've never been inside her home and i think she has several relatives living with her at this time....i'm not comfortable with my daughter staying the night i don't know the other people staying with her...she's called to ask me to r.s.v.p how do i tell her that i'm not comfortable with the idea of a sleepover without hurting her feelings...this is going to upset my daughter also but i have a gut feeling...i also think 5yr. olds should not have sleepovers...i mean you just can't trust people these days...any input?

i have to girls aged 3 and 5 and generally they are well behaved. If they misbehavie they sit on the naughtey step or if its somthing very bad then i smack there bottem. My sister has not long passed away and her 2 year old daughter was staying with my mum but she got to much to handle so i looked after her and have now adopted her. As she was an only child she got what she wanted when she wanted and if she was told o she would have a tantrum and then get what she wants. As well as this my daughters are now noticing the difference in the way they are punished. as i have adopted her am i allowed to smack her bum or not?

Why do people frown upon DINKS(Double Income No Kids)?
Don't people have the right to choose their own lifestyle? Afterall isn't it better not to have children than to have them and forced to neglect them due to lack of time or energy? Besides these couples also set an example of family planning to the under developed nations!
