I myself do not need or want any support from my kids dad. We are divorced, I can take care of my kids without him. I 100% that a guy should pay....... However ... Why do alot of women feel they shouldnt have too if the dad has the kids......

I know a woman that her ex had their their son for 7 years, she never paid a dime. Then he came to live with her for 6 months , and she took him to court for support..... After 6 months he went back to his dads, and she went back to paying nothing, however it took the court 2 months to stop the auto withdrawl from his pay. She said her reason was he had more money then her... SO what she still should have to pay for her child. She has 5 other kids with 4 fathers, and she demands that they all pay. I think thats horible. What makes a woman more in need then the father. They both should have to pay 50% no exceptions.

My point is why do women FEEL its a right for them, but if the dad gets them.... He doesnt need it.... There are alot of dead beat moms, why only bash the men.

a man has to have alot of dirt on a woman to get the kids, unless she just choses she is sick of being a mom. I know alot of moms that only kept the kids for money reasons such as child support because they treat their kids horible.

for the one that said 80% said the census ..................... Not everyone fills those out....... And another thing, unless your on welfare the state wont go after the other parent so those figures are 80% of people on welfare. The government doesnt care if your not on assistance.

I agree, i think its ridiculous that some women get into this kind of mind frame that because they carried a child for 9 months, that they shouldn't have to pay if the father has custody. They somehow justify it in their minds. I wish the "fathers" would crack down on these women as much as the women do to the men..

I had custody of my Daughter, aswell. I didn't ask for support for the reason I wanted to leave her some money (I didn't want the divorce). I knew if I did take support she would be calling all the time claiming poverty for the reason of not seeing our Daughter. I never asked for a dime, she never paid a dime and still never visited our child.
My Daughter is 19 now and knows the truth about her Mother. It's not the way I wanted it but it's the road her Mom took. I think it worked out better for everyone, my Daughter and I are very close and I wouldn't trade that for all the child support in the world.
hmmmm, I'm not sure that answered your question. :)

Honestly, I don't personally know of any women, who are divorced and don't have physical custody of children, who don't want to or think or feel that they shouldn't have to pay child support (I have through heresay--but not A LOT.). Although, that is just what I know. Now, I agree that women, who are in this type of situation, should be legally responsible for the children that they bare. It takes 2 to tango.
That woman in your second posting...the men should literally band together, take full custody of their children (if they are reasonably responsible), and file a lawsuit against her for back pay, file forms for child support, seek to get some kind of retribution and possibly seek to put her in jail. There are lawyers that are available for father's such as you describe.
Children need love, too. There are people that shouldn't be allowed to breed.

It takes 2 people to have a child and they both should be responsible for raising the child. In my experience working in child support, when fathers get placement of the children, sometimes they are so grateful they don't want to rock the boat. That doesn't mean mothers should not be responsible. I will say that more and more fathers are getting full placement or shared placement of their children. When I have a case where the mother is ordered to pay, she will get the same treatment from me as my cases where the father has to pay.

Child support is another way to take advantage of your spouse when the couple is no llonger together. It's what one would call: legal blackmail. "Pay your child support, or go to jail." It's a legalized way of extortion.
My mother put it as saying that "mothers" getting paid to have a kid for 18 years.

well, the honor system doesnt work, thats been proven.
its nice your in a position that you dont need child support, but most parents are not so lucky. most families on welfare, homeless families and families living in poverty are from no child support from the other parent.
the state and federal government are TIRED of parents not paying for their children, so they passed stronger laws.
todays child support is based upon BOTH parents incomes, thus both parents contribute to the childs needs.
and i dont know about the few cases you know of, but according to the Census Bureau, 80% of deadbeats are fathers.
and theres 107 BILLION DOLLARS, yeah BILLION dollars, owed in child support, so you do the math as to how much who owes/doesnt pay.
deadbeats are deadbeats, male or female, and all are to be held accountable for not supporting their child(ren). NONE of them should be allowed to just run around making children and not paying.
