They always mate, but i mean constantley, so why won't they lay eggs? please help, im lost, unless the sibling is a male, but thr nose is white, isnt that a female color or something?

I mean cockatiels - white or grey birds with a puff on the head and yellow\orange ring on the head. the parakeet I mentioned is smaller version of a parrot but with a red head and a little bit of blue on the tail. How do I breed them fast and give me what type of food can be given for these.

Sometimes when I crack open an egg it will have a tiny speck of blood, or other times what looks like a small brown grain of some sort. Is it dangerous to eat such an egg? Being in the west we always have the fear of salmonella so I wanted to make sure.

Law protects the purple martin, being native to this continent, but not the English house sparrow and European starling. It is perfectly legal to trap and/or shoot them. Most birding societies and wildlife federations promote these actions because starlings and house sparrows are taking a devastating toll on our native-cavity nesting birds.

I live in Perth, Western Australia, and I was wondering where can I get one? Do I need a license to keep these birds? I have heard that they are quite popular in the USA. Can I bring one to Australia?

My parakeet keeps panting over nothing. We've had hi, for over a year and he's never reacted this way before. I heard his heart rate and it's racing. His tail is facing forward and I'm beginning to worry! He was eating a Pringle some days ago, do you think it might have been the salt? He was also feeding his baby parakeets, if you think you might know what it is please get bak. He also keeps spreading out his wings but we bathed him and he keeps doing it, he's not hot. Please get back!

My 7 year old African Gray is plucking his feathers. I rescued him 8 months ago and he was badly plucking then. His old owners neglected him bad by putting him in a dark room all day with no toys. You can see why he was plucking then. He gets a lot of attention now, his volcabulary is AMAZING, and hes not bored. Can it be a habit now to pluck? Sometimes I think he doesnt realize he's doing it! Its driving me nuts!!

I saw a bird in the pet shop. It looks like a parrat but the lady called it a Rain Bowlerkeet or something like that. It was blue and red. Can I keep this as a pet? Will it talk? Do I need a cage? What do I feed it? I have a goldfish.
