It's one of those toys that hang inside the cage on a chain, with some rope and wooden toys and a bell. There are two areas of this toy that he pukes/spits on, and then he seems to pack it down with his beak. It's almost like he's building something. I think some wild birds do this with mud?? He seems fine other than this. There are no signs that he chewed on this toy, it's fairly new. The cage is on my desk and when I open his door and he sits in the opening and talks but he doesn’t come out, so he hasn't gotten into anything. He has a good diet with fresh fruit and vegies, gravel, cuddle bone, ect. This isn't normal, is it????
One thing I found that he likes is when I slide my sneakers on the kitchen floor when I’m walking and they make that loud squeaking noise. My bird and my sneakers sound exactly alike, but the bird is louder.

I have a double yellow headed amazon and it just recently started to do this wierd thing with her neck She will strech it out and it looks as if she is choking or sort of regurgitating food. It kind of scares me because it doesn't look normal. Please any suggestion of what may be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

I have two parakeets Mr.Darcy and Miss.Caroline Bingley. Darcy is extremely stubborn and has SO much pride. Miss.Caroline Bingley can be scared easily and she like Darcy and she`ll do whatever he wants. I keep training them to go on my finger and Caroline is the only one that goes on it and barely. Darcy only went on once and the problem was food. How do i make them like me and listen and do what i ask?!

I am in the process of building my chicken coop so I can get a dozen or so hens for our own use. I'd like to keep them organic if possible. Or maybe someone has a recipe for making up my own feed for them?

My friend has 3 white bellied caiques. Two males and one female. The problem is that one of the males recently became very agressive towards my friend - to a point that my friend can't open the cage anymore. I have to remove the agressive bird first. The bird lived with my friend for 3 years and the problem only began recently (3-4- months). It seems all the bird wants to do is to bite my friend. Even when the bird is in the cage, it demonstrates agression the moment my friend comes into the room. I would hate him to give up the bird, but we can't seem to find a solution. We know the behavior is not related to nesting, or hormones. Anybody out there seen something like that? Any suggestions?

A stupid bird fell from the sky the other day into my back porch. It will not leave because it must have broken its wing or something. What do I do? It’s been there for 2 freak’n days already! I fed it some French fries last night as I was eating my hamburger looking at it woundering when is it going to leave so I can use my Jacuzzi? Should I practice Euthanasia by killing it, do it a favor by putting it out of its misery or should I embrace the animal, give it a name, charge it rent, and take it in as one of my own until it heals its wounds so that it may fly again. I don’t know? I hear Bird Flu medication is expensive and contagious… Maybe I should find a cat and let nature take its course… I am confused what should I do..?
