It doesn't make the explode but it's very bad for them. The rice pellets expand in their digestive track and can lead to death. This is why throwing bird seed at a wedding is more environmentally responsible than rice.

I don't know about the exploding part is true or not, but it isn't very wise to feed a bird raw rice. Birds also require water too and between the warmth in their bodies and the water they drink with the rice can cause the rice to expand and could make them sick or even kill them!
Stick with the regular seed your pet store or vet tells you to feed your bird. It will be better for the both of you!
Pets are wonderful creations for humans. They can provide hours of enjoyment, entertainment and can become our best friends and companions.

yes if you feed the bird rice, it will kill it, maybe not explode but it will definitely die. the rice will expand when it mixes with the fluid in the birds stomach, kind of like noodles when u boil them.

definite, it could kill them. The rice this is bought in the food market has been dried and is distinctive than rice that birds receive in the fields. it is the reason it expands of their stomachs and could kill them.
