1. Budgie Calcium - I know some ways are cuttlebone and boilled egg.
Do we give the parakeets the shell of the egg or the inside?
Oh and what part of the inside if we give the inside?

2. Two of my budgies are sneezing? Do they have a cold? Or is that normal?

3. I think one of my budgies have a sprained leg, i have put a cover over their cage with 2 cloths and made the cage warm. Do i have to make it any warmer? Oh and How warm should it be?

i just bought a bird and it is bleeding from being clipped. is it ok? will it stop? or do i need to take him back?

I've recently received two chicken eggs ( hatched yesterday) and I want to try to hatch them except I have no incubator. However, I do have a lamp and right now, the eggs are sitting in a cloth ( in a box) with a lamp over it. I've also read that it would be ok to use a toaster (set to 93 degrees) and to place a sponge next to it to keep the eggs moist. Which method is best to hatch the eggs? It would also be great if you guys had any other ideas for me. Keep in mind that I have no incubator though! Thanks!

my bird has been shivering almost nonstop lately , but hes normal in all other aspects , he has all his feathers , he still screams in the morning , and i dont think my aprtment is cold or anythiing ............. idk wat to do , plz help

doing very well. The beak is starting to grow back and he is starting to eat seed. I have been hand feeding him baby bird food and bananas. He didnt like the sweet potatoes. He fights me but he is doing great. Had to have his beak trimmed twice cause he isnt using the cuddle bone or chewing on his wood toys.

I've had my budgie for about 3 months now he looks to be about 4-6 months old. I think he knows me pretty well. But everytime i take out of his cage he always flys away from me. I was wondering When he goes into adulthood will he mature and get used to me more and let me hold him withought him flying away?

The shopkeeper says that these are hen eggs. Can anyone tell me whether these eggs are really eggs laid by hen as the shopkeeper claims or are these eggs laid by some other birds? How can all eggs sold by the person contain double yolks inside. If anyone has any knowledge about this please let me know and what species of birds lay such eggs.

I am curious what special things you do for your bird. I told a former friend of mine that I did not go on vacations anymore as I do not want to leave my birds.This person told me I was crazy as you deserve time away from your home life and pets.
( I dont feel this way and thats why this person is a former friend ). I really dont have the desire anymore to travel now that
I have my birds. Even a day trip I cant enjoy as I know my birds are home alone and I usually only go away for maybe 6-8 hours. Does anyone else feel this way ? What special things do you and your bird do together ? Thanks for all answers.

Hey My Budgie Pippa Makes "Choking movements" with her head like she bobs it up and down while her kneck it like up so it looks like shes choking. Why does she do this and is it bad?

Bantam chicken eggs.

When a green egg is sitting on the table by itself, we cannot tell that it's green. It looks okay. But when we put all the eggs in a basket, we noticed that some of the eggs look normal and some of them have a slight greenish tone. Why is that? Is my chicken sick or is this natural? We are afraid to eat the green eggs, because we don't know what's causing this. Maybe one of my chickens is sick????

My baby Lovebird, Peaches turns 4 weeks old today. I take him/her out a couple of times everyday now and feed baby bird milk supplement. When can I introduce fruits and veggies and maybe some seed to him/her? Thank you.

I've just got my new cockatiel. I was in the petstore holding him and hes very tame and gentle. When I brought him home he was quiet, which is normal. But about half an hour later, after eating some millet, he started pacing back and forth on the bottom of his cage wanting to be let out. I'm pretty sure he wants to be let out more so he can escape than to just play with me but I dont think I should let him out yet either way. But hes jumping around in his cage and i dont want him to get hurt! So what should I do?
Just to note, his wings are clipped and he seems to fall pretty hard against the floor, which is also bad worrying me. he doesnt judge the distance between his perch and the cage door very well/

The reason I ask is my first one was more friendly than this one and acted much different. This one is skiddish and trys to hide and bites. I think this one is a female. How do you tell?
