they say human's are the highest form of God's creatures, and are actually considered as animals..it fascinates me that of all the animals ever exists only parrots could talk..
somehow peculiar for science says monkeys/apes is where human came from.. so why do they can't talk?

Any suggestions for cleaning products that are safe for birds? I have 2 bird cages in my bedroom that is connected to the bathroom and 1 cage in the living room that is connected to the kitchen. When I got them I was told to throw out all cleaning supplies but water is not cutting it lol. Any suggestions would be great.

Someone gave me a cockatiel that had been severely mistreated. He bites, screeches, and is very unfriendly. I love birds, and I keep hoping that I can make a difference, but I have had him for about a year and nothing has changed. I've been told that it's too late, and nothing can be done. He loves my female cockatiel, who is too old to mate. If the female is out of his sight, he goes berserk and screams. What can I do when the female dies, and he won't allow me to get close to him? Will kindness and patience eventually pay off?

My two year old got a hold of my parakeet a few weeks ago. She plucked some of the feathers out of the back of its head with her teeth and injured its leg. It left a noticeable bald spot, with a few blood spots, and a badly limping bird. The leg has healed, but the bald spot seems to be growing. The area she plucked out is a nice pink color, but all around that area where the other feathers have fallen out it is red, as if there is a shallow blood blister under the skin. I separated it from the other parakeet we have just in case she's plucking the feathers out of her friend. Is there anything else I should do? I've heard of parrots getting plucked by other birds and the feathers never grow back. Is this possible in a case like mine?

Ok, I know it was just a cartoon, but I believe it was Sylvester who put salt on Tweety's tail so that he couldn't fly away, and a man who happened to be in the room said, "That's true, you know." I've remembered that for allll these years and wondered if there's really any truth to that. Is there?

(How does he know I had been reported before unless he had a hand in it? nice person? I don't think so)

Hunting for Sport? (birds)

(he sent me the following in an email)

DJ

Subject: Reported...

Message: "Buy it, shoot him in the foot then shoot yourself in yours then you will both have some idea of how cruel you are being. When recovered try going vegetarian and having clean hands if not a clear conscience for a change."

This answer is a clear violation of Yahoo Guidelines, but you knew that already, didn't you? Well, you have been reported and hopefully you will get removed again.

You know, I personally think vagitarians/vegitarians are poor misguided fools, but I don't go answering "Vegitarian recipie" questions telling people so....that is just not polite.

You answer advocates violence, period. I know you were making a point but do it somewhere else please, not in the Hunting section.

Pierre, our male dog, seems to have a liking to my son's toys and it's along the lines of him gratifying himself. He's been fixed already.

How can we fix this problem?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have noticed drving down the road that most of the birds when they are in a group will be pointing in the same direction, (most). I like to mess with the kids when we are in the car so I will ask silly questions like that to keep them entertained, but then I started really wondering. Seem weird, but I try to stay on top of the responses to the weird car quesitons like about the birds.
