My duck started laying eggs about 8 days ago. She lays 1 egg everyday. We don't have a boy duck, so they're not fertilized. We have all of the eggs in the refrigerator. When will they go bad? They don't smell bad or look rotten, but we were just wondering.

My cockatiels claw appears to have broken somehow, above the point where you would clip (I don't clip his claws). It happened when I was at work so it's not bleeding now, but it appears to have bled quite a bit, and now he won't put all of his weight on it and seems a little shaken up. Is there anything I can do for him now? Apart from clean him up? I may go to the vet in the morning if he's still not good, but its too late now.

Does this have to much sweet stuff in it? i have 8 lovebirds. 2 adults and 6 babies (ages vary from 5 months to 2 weeks)

Cornbread/muffin mix
Sun flower seed (or what ever your bird likes)
Honey
Egg
Penut butter
Favorite veggies (of the bird not you :P )

Mix as if you were baking a regular cake/muffin add the fruits egg(if required) then bake. When cooled, cut a small hole about 3/4 into the muffin/cake from the top then fill it with peanut butter. Then glaze the top in honey and add sunflower(or whatever seed you bought) and sprinkle it on top. Serve appropriatly to the size of your bird. good for birthday or really special treat

I have 5 of them. They're insane. Every time I pick one up and move slightly away, all the other birds start chirping and squawking. Why?

I've seen a few people who have falcons, hawks, and eagles as pets? But would it be possible to get a peregrine falcon as one? And if so where could I get/buy one?

I have just bought a beautiful pair of lovebirds - they are gorgeous!
However, I am stumped as to what toys to buy them to keep them entertained.
They seem extremely satisfied with destroying the wooden ladder at the moment.
Does anyone know what they really enjoy?

I have an albino parakeet that I got a few months ago. I havent held him every day but, almost every day, and he still isnt tame. Im begining to get discouraged. How long does this take??

Also, he was SUPER tiny when I bought him, and a few people mistook him for a canary because he was so small. He's still tiny, and now his cere is starting to change color. I've always just assumed I had a boy, but his cere is really light pink on top, and kind of a purple on the bottom.

is that because he's albino, or is it possible that my little boy is a little girl? (Arent girls smaller than boys?)

Final question- sometimes when I've had him out for a while, he starts doing this thing with his beak. it looks like he's talking but no noise comes out. He does it for a while, when he appears to be content (not happy) while I'm holding him. what does that mean?

I have a parakeet, and it is acting rather oddly. It is puffed up and sort of panting. I believe its a female, and i also have a male. Could it be possible she is about to lay an egg, or is something wrong with her? Any ideas or experience with this would be greatly helpful. Thanks ahead of time.
