everywhere i look for information on bird compatability some of the species of finchs are suggested not to be mixed wioth others, some just for the reason that they will cross breed.. what is wrong with that ? if i am just having them as pets, i plan on taking some of the zebras, if population gets out of control to the local pet store but i dont understand what the big deal is if a zebra mates with a society? and so on. i figure if they are happy then that is what i am trying for..

I've posted this before I have a possibly fertile chicken egg I've been keeping warm for 7 days I turn it over and candle it. I'm pretty sure its fertile since its dark on the inside and has dark lines in it.

But my problem is I HAVEN'T told my parents or older sister about the egg. I'm concerned that they may make me get rid of it or something before it possibly hatches.

But once it does it probably won't be long before anyone notices a chicken is in the house.

If this egg hatches how do I explain to my folks I've been keeping this a secret?

I need some real advice so please, no jokes. I really want to keep this chick if it hatches.

I called the humane society and other organizations, but they won't anwser (I get the voicemail). There doesn't seem to be any injuries on the bird, but its feathers are puffed up. It flutters around, but can't fly far before it falls.

I love Canada geese and used to photograph them in Louisville, but now I live in Los Angeles, and don't know where to go to see them. The bird maps say they might be anywhere in North America but Southern California is inhospitable to wildlife so I can't imagine where they would be. If you have any information, I'd appreciate it.

I do not want to kill the birds; just keep them away from my terrace. What kinds of chemicals or other things can I use to keep them away?

My cockatiel already loves me to death. He despises everyone else and will hiss and bite at everyone else except me. He gives me kisses all the time and he grooms me, too. :-p

I always stroke his head, neck, and ears and he absolutely loves it. The problem is... since I come home from school pretty late, I never spend much time with him and he's alone most of the day. He won't ever play with anyone else because everyone in my house is too brutal with him. So he prefers to be alone until I come home where he goes crazy when he sees me. He starts screaming until I come by him; then he jumps up on me and kisses me plenty... then stays by me. Sometimes he even whistles some tunes with me. I pet and stroke him on his neck a lot and he bonds with me some more.

Is there any other way I can pet him to bond more with me? He seems to be tired of the neck stroking thing...

Also, he hates being petted on his back. Must be some past trauma with back petting...

Anyway... I need help. :-/
