I think it is a finch. I found a dead baby next to him. This is about 20 feet below the mud nest on my house. The bird seemed exposed so I moved it under a pine tree. It is supposed to be 105 degrees today.

There are a couple of babies in the nest now but it seems like the birds that are feeding those babies are a different species than before-does that makes sense that new birds would take over a used nest?

For my wedding, my venue limits the usage of many tossable items. Because of this, birdseed seems to be the best alternative. To make it appear to be more interesting, I would think that dying it my wedding colors with food coloring would liven it up a little. I am curious, though, if the colored seed will be harmful in any way to the birds that will come by and eat it. Thanks in advance!

I have a breeding pair of "Dwarf Turtle Doves", they have one young, of normal colouring, and one 1 week old who has red eyes, pure pink skin and pure white feathers.

Is an albino of this species very unusual? I have never come accross one before...

Why don't they fly AWAY from your car? You see them on the side of the road and as you approach, instead of flying away from you, they fly right in front of you! Do they just like living on the edge?!

woman in beliot wi is representing hher self as a licensed exotic bird rescue. will not sell she says but you can adopt at any price she comes up with. rescues are supposed to be non profit. you are not allowed or know where her santuary is. she will bring you a bird you are interested in to her house in the driveway. red lights went off in my head. i have been a exotic bird breeder for over 30yrs and i know this is fishy. please hepl me with some ideas that i can shut her down. thanks

I have had this female parakeet for 4 years. I got this cute little male blue one about a year after that, and they are always fighting. I'm sick of letting her pick on and beat up on my little blue guy. I would feel way too guilty to let her go - her wings are grown out but she'd never make it out in the open. Any ideas on what should I do? If I give her to a pet store, they'll get mad when they see how she beats up on the other birds.
