Explain her. .. they were performing the most important act of nature... and if she ask's further.. tell its BONDING... when she grows a bit older... there will be a time when u have to open the topic again... that time take it ahead from the concept of BONDING.. and explain her the importance of having the right partner.. for BONDING... and explain what follows next is taking the responsibility of a new generation, through reproduction... and thats what birds are very good at, taking responsibility of their young ones...

Depends on how old she is mentally and physically. My daughter is 4 years old now , but when i had a bird she was about 2. she also caught them doing the wild thing. i just told her that they were giving each other a piggy back ride. now that she is older and her mentality is about a 6 year old level, she understands about the birds and the bees. my biggest suggestions is to not give to much information, just the basics. if she can understand them ( basics) and wants more information from you, she will ask you..

It's ok, just tell her that they were making baby birds. Explain to her that animals do that to have babies and that it is normal just not something that should always be seen, Tell her that birds dont like to be watched when they act like that and cover the cage with a cloth. It is obiously time to have the "stork" conversation about how babies are made.
Or you can just tell her they were playing.

Depends on how old she is. Don't lie, but don't give her too much info either. Use words she will understand (I assume she is young?) Tell her they are making baby birdies. She just asked what they are doing, not how they are doing it or why, right? And if Why- say they are having fun! lol :)

Tell her the truth and that it is normal for all things to do it, and explain it to her in a way that she could make sense of it.
