Basically, it is like you training for a marithon. If you were to get someone else to do the training for you, you wouldnt be able to do the marithon on your own.

The same is true for chicks. They need this struggle to build upp their strength so they will be better prepared for life. They need to struggle so that their legs are strong enough to hold them up when they are free.

If they dont build up this strength in the shell, they may not have enough strength to stand initially when they are free. If they can not stand initially, they will not build further strength.

It needs to use its egg tooth. It will hatch when it's ready, and not before. Since the incubation of chicks is very short, every day that it develops in that egg would be similar to a month of a human baby developing in the womb (at least, I think it would)!!!

Because the chick needs to stay in there until it is strong enough to break away from it's egg. If it cannot break from it's egg, it does not mean it's strong enough to come out. You might not be helping it if you help it hatch.

Because unless you are a trained, liscenced avian vet you won't know how. You will most definatley cause more harm than help. If your chick needs an assisted hatch, you should contact your avian vet immediatley. This article has some information on why and how.

Breaking its way out of the shell is like a fitness barrier. If they can't do it by themselves, they are not strong enough to survive. It's like a calf having to struggle to its feet by itself after it's born. In both cases, the required struggle and the effort the animal puts out, are necessary to start all its systems working together. If you crack the egg, or lift the foal up, you are weakening them by thwarting that natural process.

You are not suppose to help a chick hatch because if you try to help it you will kill it

who says that??
uhh.. it might be because the chick is supposed to be in the wild, and if you tame it, it wont live it's life to it's full potential.. and if you touch the egg, the mother bird will smell human scent on the egg and not want it any more... poor bird.. : (
