Put a fake hawk or owl out, it can be a cardboard cutout on the window, or a sculpture. They'll recognize the profile & avoid it.

We have lots of pigeons in New york City What I have seen is wire s pointing up on the edges of the roof to prevent them a place to settle comfortably. They avoid those roofs. the wires are 2 inches apart and about 5 to six inches long

Most birds are also afraid of snakes ... tossing some plastic (toy) snakes that look real, onto your roof, will also help to deter them.

Close off the entrance into your roof with some type of wire netting (like hardware cloth). This will make them have to go somewhere else to sleep at night.
