I live in dallas and i can't find anywhere to buy a green quaker parrot that isn't too far away....

I Don't Know Where To Get On But All I No That In Some States They Don't Allow Them I Have A Quaker Parrot U Are Going To Love One When U Get It My Bird Says Like 11 Words In English And Spanish I Live In Florida But U Can Search Stores In Texas By Google Or Yahoo And If Their Are Pets marts I Saw Selling Some Where I Live They Sell Them Well Good Luck

You can go shop around the pet stores in Dallas. If the shop keepers don't show you the breed of a green parrot. You can ask for the shipment from another state in US or or from other country. It is neccessary to go through the local authority for epidemic control.

Not that I agree completly with buying animals from pet store but there is a PetsMart in San Angelo that has 2 of them right now. It is about 4-6 hours away from Dallas.

Quaker parrots are legal in Texas.I currently have 6 where I work.they are $175.00 each.I have one named "LILLY" very sweet she is an older Quaker and needs an experienced owner.The store is about 2 hours north of you.Hwy 45 north to 75 north Sherman ,continue north to Durant OK.easy to find.Our birds are hand fed babies and get the best of care .

You should be able to buy them at any pet store, if they don't have them, they can order from a breeder, or tell you the name of a breeder. Really cute little birds. Most states require that their wings be clipped at all times, because they can live in the wild and cause a threat to farmers, etc. Look them up on Youtube. It shows a wild group on the east coast.
