i have a girl budgie thats yellow she layed 5 eggs there due two hatch on the 29th of October! the male is the native green colour! i would like to noe what colours there could be pictures would help?I looked on the web and could find nothing

I have budgies. I'm not much of a breeder but we have had several . Most will be green because the green is a dominant color trait. you might get a yellow . There is also a chance you will get mixed colors as in it might have yellow some yellow feathers here and there .

The main colour of the hatch lings will be females Green the males Yellow that is in theory but depends on the parentage of the parent birds there are quite a number of factors that come into play ,it basically boils down to what gene the predominates in both parent and previous Grand parents.in a simple word Pot-luck.unless you have predetermined your breeding stock.

I HAD A YELLOW FEMALE AND A GRAY MALE. MOST OF THE BABIES WERE YELLOW,BUT THERE WAS ONE THAT WAS A GRAY,GREENISH COLOR. ALSO YELLOW WITH BLACK THREW THE FEATHERS. BELIVE ME,YOUR BIRDS WILL HAVE PRETTY BABIES.
