Hi all, just wanted to let you know that my bird Nick who lost his bottom beak in July or August has been?

doing very well. The beak is starting to grow back and he is starting to eat seed. I have been hand feeding him baby bird food and bananas. He didnt like the sweet potatoes. He fights me but he is doing great. Had to have his beak trimmed twice cause he isnt using the cuddle bone or chewing on his wood toys.

You must be takeing good care of him for him to get back his beak back as very few birds live long enough for them to grow again.

I didn't read the original posting, but still, that's super news. I didn't know that a birds beak would or could grow back. I thought they would forever (if they survived) have a missing beak. You must be doing great work with Nick for all of that great news. A lot of pet owners won't go through the trouble of intensive care when something major happens. You're obviously quite dedicated! Congrats and good luck to nick on his continued recovery! :-)

Thanks! I have been worried sick over Nick! Haven't been able to sleep! Caused me to start drinking and smoking again!
