I have a double yellow headed amazon and it just recently started to do this wierd thing with her neck She will strech it out and it looks as if she is choking or sort of regurgitating food. It kind of scares me because it doesn't look normal. Please any suggestion of what may be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

yes, I know when she regurgitates for certain, but this is different looking. She was on her cage earlier and she just sat there and did it, but it is not like her normal yawn either...??? who knows

There are a couple of reasons for this other than the mating response.
She may have eaten something that has given her an upset stomach or she may have parasites or fungus in her crop that are developing to a point to block her air passage.
You say it's different...If she doesn't improve in the next 8 hours, you should definitely take her to the vet to do a crop culture. Parasites can kill.
If it's an upset stomach, you can give birds Pepto Bismal.

This is normal, don't worry. She may be just yawning or actually regurgitating. They will bring up a piece of food sometimes hours later, but there is nothing unusual or abnormal about that. For them, that is.

if a bird regurgitates on/for you it means they like you a lot, they regurgitate to feed their mates in the wild, so this is a good thing, your bird has really bonded to u
